Hi,
I have an Ipaq-H5550 and want to replace the system.
The current system is:
OS version: CE 4.2
Product ID: Pocket PC

My question is if I can use and how - platform builder 5.0 and replace the
system.
I tried to figure it where the nk.bin are.

Thanks,
David

Nope. That's not going to happen. You don't know enough about the hardware
inside the box to build a board support package for the device. Why would
you want to do this? Maybe there's something better.

Paul,
Thanks for the answer.
There is no specific reason to do it, just for curiosity,

David.

Paul,
I want to know where to put how to do automatic installation on system
recover. I call system recover the initial startup after the main and backup
batery empty, charging its and turn the IPAQ on.
Without this automatic installation every user of the application (for the
company I work at) will need to do manual reinstall.
I so this kind of setting but could'nt find how they made it,
Thanks,
David.

Whether there is *any* way to do that will depend on the device and every
one will be different. If the filesystem on the device is volatile (goes
away when battery dies), then there's nowhere you can store anything in the
normal device filesystem where it will be available on startup.

Most devices have the ability to run the files found in a certain subfolder
on storage cards when those cards are installed. This might be one option.
You install the card after the device is recharged and everything gets
reinstalled.

You can search the archives of the various Windows CE newsgroups using
GoogleGroups to see where to put your program on storage cards, etc.
