Hi everyone,

Wish u all a happy, prosperous, cheerful and funfilled 2005 firstly.

Well, I have a problem in downloading the OS image to the target machine. On
the development workstation, I open the configure remote settings and give
ethernet. On the target machine I put the boot floppy and boot the machine.
After a few seconds the target machine reads "Jumping to A8F021". The target
machine's ip address is not displayed.

What could be the problem. I use a "RealTek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet
NIC" card for my ethernet downlaod. I give the NET_IRQ as 0 and NET_IOBASE
as 0 and leave the NET_ADDRESS blank. Can anyone pls suggest what could be
the problem. I am using PB4.2

Thanks,
Cheers,
Lakshmanan

Hi,
1. Are using menu or direct ethernet boot or direct serial boot.
2. If menu, then select the "Ethernet boot method" [which uses eboot.bin
file].
3. As u have mentioned NET_ADDRESS is set to blank in target machine, u need
to have DHCP server to provide IP address. Else u need to set the static IP
Address.

With regards,
Mak
