Hello,

I have strange troubles with the Remote Tools of Visual Studio 2005. I start
the Remote Tools using the link in the Start Menu. Than I open the dialog
"Target > Connectivity Options". In the list I mark my WinCE6.0 device and
hit the "Properties..." button. Now my problem appears: In the dialog "Device
Properties" I cannot configure the transport "TCP Connect Transport". If I
click on the button "Configure..." no dialog will be opened.

Interestingly I can configure the properties of "TCP Connect Transport"
using Visual Studio 2005 without any troubles.

Does anybody know why I cannot configure "TCP Connect Transport" using the
Remote Tools?

Regards Peter

Did you install all QFE's and Service packs?

Hello Peter,

I got the same problem. Did you find any solution?

Greetings

This is a known issue in the Remote Tools configuration dialog.
The workaround is to go to Visual Studio's Tools > Options menu, select
"Device Tools > Device", single-click on your device, and then click on the
[Properties] button. Select the TCP Connect Transport if it's not selected,
then then you can click on the [Configure...] button next to it. Both this
property page and the Remote Tools configuration dialog will set the
configuration in the CoreCon datastore - which is shared across all CoreCon
client apps on your system.
