Hi,
I tested using voipdemo between 2 ce6.0-R2 x86 devices.
The voice-playback is very distorted.
The cause can be in HW ,drivers, or the voip-SW.

So now I am very curious to hear if someone has used the voipdemo
successfully.
in other words, is the demo program to blame ?
I think it shouldn't be because it is a straightforward implementation of
RTC usage, and I think I can assume that RTC is up to the job.
But I would like some confirmation of this by someone who actually used it.

Normale playback (MP3,WMA,video) is fine, I must still test the mic-recording.
Any tips on what might cause the distortion are also welcome .
(encoding/decoding maybe ?).

Greetings,
Rob

Update :
Sound recorded with WAVREC.exe sounds ok.
so the input HW &driver seems ok.
That leaves ????

Greetings,
Rob.

Take a look at the VOIP project in this URL

removed the phone apps from the build, because they might interfere with
voipdemo , so I thought. (an app is started at boot time by the phone suite)
But there was no difference, still very distorted sound.
Normal wav recording/playback sounds fine....

What could be wrong ?
I plan to use voipdemo as an example for my own application, but if the demo
does not work, I doubt if its a good startingpoint....

Greetings,
Rob.
