You're asking in the wrong group, I think.
I don't do a lot of programming on Windows Mobile 5, but the most-likely
cause I can see is that you've set up your network connection as connecting
to "Work" or something other than "The Internet". When IE is given a domain
to access that has a dot, ".", in it, it wants to use a network connection
that connects to The Internet to find that domain; if you specify a domain
that has no dot, IE assumes that it's a local network machine name on the
"Work" network and tries a connection set up to connect to that.
If you go to the Control Panel's Connections tab and open the Network Cards
applet, I think that you should be able to make the connection between your
card and the right network. If the Control Panel applet won't do it, you'll
need more Pocket PC expertise than I have and you might want to ask in a
group that's connected with that.
