I installed harddrive in new PC and when I try to run Outlook (Office XP) it
tells me it needs file Outret.msi on the original Outlook2002 CD. I don't
have such a CD. Where can I find the file?

Outlook 2002 was installed with Office XP (aka Office 2002) It ran OK until
I switched the hard drive into a new computer, at which point it gave an
error message saying something about the computer configuration had changed,
and to insert the Outlook 2002 CD as file Outret.msi was needed. MIcrosoft
strike again !!!(Everything else on the computer is working OK)

Do you have the office CD? That should make it happy.

I do have that CD, and MS in it's infinite wisdom has chosen not to include
on it the file that it apparently requires when you install your HD on a new
PC. (I tried the Office install CD when the error message first occurred, and
it provided no solution.)

Thanks anyway.

did you install outlook from a disk that came with a pda or mobile phone? Or
install pda software? it seems to be linked to pda.
