I purchased Microsoft Office 2000 Professional. I installed Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and Access. At the time I did not want to install Outlook.

Now I insert the disk to install Outlook and there is a red X over the
option for outlook. Please explain why this would be and what I can do to
correct it.

Click the icon, change to run from Computer (or similar, long time since I
used 2000)
PS its not compatible with Vista, though there maybe work arounds
