    - outlook 2007 - 1) problems registration keys 2) no conn exhange se Just having my new PC with Vista Ultimate (4 month ago) Outlook 2007 (preinstalled) was not working. I tried to reinstall Outlook 2007, but it seemd as if it never really took away all the old, but I am not sure. With reinstallation of Outlook 2007, I encountered problems with registration keys: as if I was not allowed to install this problem. I am the administrator so that should not be any problem. Also tried to change the registration key to full control by administrator, but then the problem was shifted to another registration key. There was an option to neglect, and so I did. But then, another problem was there. As I would like to have outlook synchronizing to the office Exchange Server 2003 at my work (fully patched as far as I know), I filled in for this purpose. But: * Problem: Cannot connect to the exchange server using HTTPS (had no problems with old laptop running XP). However, finding my mail box/username for other mailaccounts (http or Imap) - no problem; completing the Mail setup for those - no problem. But when exchange server connections are filled in as account - PROBLEMS Symptoms: When I open up Outlook, I get prompted for username/pwd (so far so good), but that's it! Either Outlook times out without ever opening up or I get error messages that Outlook can't connect to server, or cannot start Outlook, cannot open the outlook view, and telling me that I am not allowed for actions like this. Though I am administrator of my own computer. Additional Info: (i) Accessing the exchange server via Outlook Web â?? no problem; (ii) Accessing the exchange server via VPN - no problem; (iii) Have tried to copy all settings from my XP laptop â?? it just bnever runs for the connection with the exchange server also I have the service pack 1 installed recently. Does not help me out of these problems. So there must be something wrong with outlook 2007 itself. I would be very grateful for some help (anyone from Microsoft?)     - Outlook 2007 Cannot configure Outlook Anywhere I am trying to connect an Outlook 2007 account to an Exchange 2003 server with an ISA server Firewall by using "outlook anywhere" which used to be RPC over HTTP. It just says that outlook must be online and the password box just keeps popping up for my Exchange server. However, it won't accept the credentials which I know are correct.     - Office 2007, Outlook NOW OPENS After much stumbling about, attempting to find and run Scanpst.exe and so on, I stumbled onto a sidebar for Outlook Tools 2.1 a FREE download fromwww.howto-outlook.com.     - Outlook 2003 On Friday I had a new motherboard and hard drive installed on my DELL XPS 600 - I installed my Office 2003 Basic disk that came with the computer when I purcahsed same three years ago. The programs i.e. Word and Excel work fine, however my Outlook does not - whenever I click on same it gives me an error message to start in safe mode. I have uninstalled and reinstalled three times - was told that the new hard drive may not be compatible with 2003 and that I would have to purchase Office 2007. I was told by a DELL rep that there may be a "patch" but it is certainly not an on-line choice - and of course I was told by Microsoft that it would cost $49.95 to repair the problem.....your thoughts and insight are certainly appreciated....     - I keep getting a message that connection is unavailable. I am trying to move from Outlook Express that I used with by internet connection (Cox) to Outlook 2003.     - Outlook Cached Mode on Terminal Server Hi, I have read lots of articel that cached mode is not possible on Terminal Servers for various reason - Anyhow does anyone know a workaround? I know it's working when I logon to the console of the Server but that is not really a working solution. Background is that the Terminal Server and the Exchnage Server are connected over a WAN link. We have Riverbed's in place but still performance is not what I expect it to be. Cached mode (for Laptop users) is really working great in that above config. Thanks.     - Outlook 2007 hangs with IMAP server I am using Outlook 2007 with a remote IMAP server. Outlook OFTEN loads and hangs with 'Send/Receive status 52%'. I then close Outlook and re-open it and if OFTEN goes right to 100% and says 'Send/Receive complete'. Turned on 'Enable Logging (troubleshooting). When it hangs, the log file contains sometimes 150 messages, other times 250 messages with no rhyme or reason why it stops. Here's an example of the last few lines in the log file. Outlook will then hang forever with no further updates to the log file.     - Why outlook adds =SMTP: to eply mail I have had a comment to a previous posting but cannot see anything when I activate the link, and reactivating the request just brings up a blank window as well.     - can't install outlook I re-installed Outlook 2003, after I had my PC re-formatted. I keep getting the same message over and over from Outlook. Can not connect to MS Exchange Server, then when I click OK it asks me for the MS exchange Server name and mailbox. I thought this was Pop3 and my e-mail address, but it doesnâ??t like that either.     - Unable to send emails with aircard Hi, I have the Sierra 881U aircard thru AT&T. My isp is Bellsouth. I am running Vista Home Premium, SP1 on a Acer 5920G laptop and using Outlook 2007. When I am home, I am able to send/receive no problems. At home I use the built in WiFi to connect. Away from home, when using the aircard, internet connectivity is fine, and I am able to receive emails, just not able to send.     - Outlook 2007 data files, archives, folders cluster My Outlook 2007 (Vista Ultimate) is configured for one POP e-mail account but I've completely hosed it up with 14 data files configured, some of which are partial duplicates. I am also showing 14 folders open in the mail folders box. Three of these are "Archive Folder" but the other 11 have names that look a like the file names I've assigned over the years. Needless to say, I'm having a lot of "Outlook 2007 is not responding" situations and many times, outlook starts with the message that a data file or archive was "not closed properly" last time it was shut down. Under Calendar items, I have 9 items under "My Calendars". These all have unique names and only one is checked and it has the title of "Calendar". When calendar reminders come up, they appear three times identical. When I dismiss one, all three disappear. Under Contacts, I have 5 items under My Contacts all with unique titles. For e-mail, contacts, and calendars, I would like to consolidate with one active file and another much larger file for archives I could search on for future reference. Getting there without losing any information is where I need help. Can you tell me how to: 1)Consolidate into one active and one archive file? 2)Eliminate duplicate e-mail, calendar items and contacts? 3)Configure Outlook 2007 so performance and reliability are improved? BTW, I have backed up all the files and also have several older backups on different hard drives that would ideally be consolidated as well.     - Outlook 2003 User Accounts Have set up seperate accounts and profiles for myself and wife and configured to ask for which profile to use. After boot up of the computer and click on outlook it asks to choose the profile and enter password. However, if I close outlook and reopen, it goes directly to the profile which had just been opened (does not give a choice of profile or ask for password). We are starting to get certificate warnings about autodiscover.mydomain.com, but we simply want to stop Outlook from autodiscovering anything. How do we turn this off? Autodiscover seems to be largely a waste in our case. Not only are we are more than capable of typing in the server name (quicker than setting up or troubleshooting autodiscover), but Outlook is trying to "discover" when the user's account is already established - no need to discover anything. Some of WSs has Outlook 2007 (Office 2007 (Eng?)) installed in XP Pro Eng laptops. For some reason some parts of the Outlook 2007 is in Finish. After my computer does any automatic update on anything, I get the following message when I try to open Outlook: "This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found.     - Trouble after using on-line tutorial Initially after upgrading from 2000 to 2007 outlook seemed to work properly. Some time later I tried using the on-line tutorial and I think this is where the troubles started. (I may have used the tutorial with Outlook open but I'm not sure) Indications: When I start Outlook, immediately after the Outlook logo comes up, a dialogue box headed Microsoft LDAP Directory comes up with one tab labled Connection details and the following: Server name: NULL Port: 3286 User name: NULL Password: (this is blank) The Secure Password Authentication box is unchecked. Pressing OK, Cancel, or exiting makes the box go away and Outlook starts to open. Before opening is complete a pop-up from the Outlook symbol on the task bar bears the message: "There was a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some reminders may not appear" Exiting the pop-up Outlook appears normal with the Calendar and iminent appointments shown in the To-Do pane but in the pane where the tasks should be there is a message "The operation failed. An object could not be found" In addition there is no reminder of appointments and they seem to clear themselves on expiry, I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling and detect and repair to no avail. I've raised this issue previously (26th March) with no response except that today (21st May) Owensnig has said he is experiencing a similar difficulty. Who's the star on this one? messages into JUNK.
I have no filters turned on, and even though I have listed all internal
emails as "safe" still everything goes to junk.

Outlook doesn't have a folder named "JUNK". It has one named "Junk E-mail",
however. Is that the one you mean? Do you have any programs that scan mail
integrated with Outlook, such as an anti-virus or -spam scanner? If so,
disable that integration.
