I just setup Outlook 2007. I set remember my password in the account dialog
and the correct password. I keep getting asked for my password every time
Outlook wants to send or receive. I then checked add password to password
list and it still asks every time. I cannot figure out why it isn't saving
it. It is for a GoDaddy email account.

It is windows XP.

It was an upgrade from office 2003

I will disable antivirus and get back to you.

By the way, I saw something about registry keys. Will fixing them help the
problem?

Thanks for getting back to me.

I uninstalled office and reinstalled. It did not fix the problem. I was
surprized that it saved all my settings. I resetup the account and it still
did not work after rebooting Outlook. Any more suggestions?

Brian:

I tried a new profile. It still did not work. I saw something about fixing
registry keys. Could that be it? Do you have any other suggestions?

Version of WIndows? The registry keys you mention are probably those
described here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684 . This does not
apply to Windows Vista.

I have the same problem and my friend got the sameproblem about the same
time. We tried all the fixes mentioned in this string. Could a Microsoft
update be the culprit???
