We just switched over to DSL from dial up, and in the process of updating
Outlook to work on the new server I seem to have lost all my old folders and
addresses, I have tried to import them and it says it has done so but I
cannot find them! Also, I cannot access websites/url's from my e-mail now.
Can anyone help me undo the mess I seem to have made?
Desperately,
Ruth King

Hi Ruth,

your Outlook version is?
Are you using Exchange server or a local PST file?

Have a look on this site:

where is your Outlook data stored?
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.asp

>I cannot access websites/url's from my e-mail

"Hyperlinks in an e-mail message do not work in Office 2000 or in Office
2002 programs"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/257464/en-us

"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer."

Maybe it helps.

We have Office Xp Standard for students, I believe it is a local PST file. I
can see them when I look in the Outlook Data Files, but I don't know how to
get them back to the Outlook page where I can use them. I'm still having
problems opening any links sent by e-mail.
