I just created a new e-mail account and configured it so the mail is routed
to Outlook. But my mail messages are showing up in my "favorites" folder at
the top of the left-hand pane.

My other e-mail acconts all have their own titled folder under "All Mail
Folders." They shows up as the name of the account with a little drawer
symbol next to it, and then an Inbox (in bold) with the number of unread
messages next to it. This is what I would like my new e-mail accont to appear
as.

Exchange, POP, IMAP, HTTP and the account types. Which are you using?
WHat's your Outlook version, also?
