After importing my address book into Outlook they show as contacts and are
not shown in the Outlook address book. Is there a way to move or copy them
into the Outlook address book? I have checked to see that the box for
contacts is checked to use as addresses but when I try to create a new email
message the names do not fill in automatically like in Outlook Express. Any
help would be appreciated

See OL help for show/configure contacts as an address book
The address book is simply a view of Contacts
Within OL Options you have to turn on the autocomplete, if Contacts have
been configures to show as an address book, when you click "To" when
composing a new msg, the address book will pop up

Clarification: Configuring the Outlook Address Book does not make Contact
data available for the autocompletion feature. That cache is completely
separate and is populated from sent messages.

I am having the same problem.... I am so computer unsavvy..... I just got a
new computer with Vista, my old computer was XP. I transferred my address
book to Windows Mail. However, when I start to type in an address sometimes
they complete and other times they don't. These are addresses I have used on
this computer. I have checked the box for "auto put in contacts" and "auto
complete email address" Help me out please....

This is an Outlook group. If you are using Windows Mail, you would need to
post in a Windows Mail group.
