I had over 40 folders under "Archive Folders" in Outlook 2003. I transferred
them to PST files, then to My Documents and downloaded them on a flash drive.
My computer was taken down and the basic OS was re-established by Gateway.
When I reloaded Office Outlook from the Microsoft Office Small Business
Edition 2003, Outlook loaded without the heading "Archive Folders". I just
have Personal Folders and my 2 email address with subfolders such as
inbox/sent/junk mail/deleted items. Archive Folders has totally disappeared

They already were in a PST. What you did was unnecessary.

Add them back in. File>OPen>Outlook Data File. Browse to where you placed
the archive PSTs, select one, and click OK. Repeat until you've opened them
all.

The Archive folders are simply those that are contained within a seperate
pst file, by default archive.pst
All you needed to do was copy the origonal archive.pst
Copy the pst you created to some suitable location on your hard drive,
rename it Archive.pst, Then in OL, File>Open>Data File.......browse to this
location
You would then have to ensure your archive options are set to archive to
this files, as otherwise all you will be doing is creating a new archive
data file
