No Longer Receving RSS Feeds in Outlook 07
I installed Outlook 2007 a week or so ago. I was initially able to get my
RSS feeds, but they have all abruptly stopped. I have checked and verified
that they are still listed as being subscirbed to, but don't know why I am
not getting them. I even tried to subscribe to new ones (which I should get
feeds for immediatley)....Nothing ! Can anyone shine any light on this ?

lost emails
I had a number of files for my emails, I thought were backed up either on my
local pc or our server. I was able to click on one of the folders and read
all the contents up to just recently.
I was given a new pc and IT support thought everything was brought over to
my new computer. Guess again. I went into one of folders and found all email
stored from 2/07 to the date I got the new computer GONE. I still have those
from before that date and those after I got the new computer, but everything
else is gone.
But, I'm confused. Going back to before the new pc, how could I read all my
email in one folder, email that apparently was backed up in two different
places, but yet appeared to be in one folder??? Does Outlook display all the
contents of a folder even if it may be stored in different locations?

Creating a meeting request in Outlook 2003
Hello,
I have a question about Outlook calendar and when a delegate creates a
meeting. If a delegate has a shared calendar of the person that they are a
delegate for open. The delegate right clicks on the users calendar and
selects "New meeting request with" option. This will create the meeting but
the delegate will be the organizer and not the intended user.
If the delegate right clicks on the users calendar and selects "New Meeting
Request" the intended user will be the organizer and not the delegate.
Is this working as intended? I would assume that since the delegate is doing
this on the users calendar that the meeting would show up with the organizer
being the intended user and not the delegate.

I am using Outlook 2003. When I click on a link in an email, I get a menu

All email are received and sent as plain text and not HTML
Hi,
I'm using Outlook 2003, all patches installed.
The problem is that when I sent some email or received some, they are in
Plain Text, even if all settings are set to HTML.
Email format is set to HTML, there is no check mark in the "read all email
as plain text" option. even when I sent a email, I select HTML and the mail
is sent as plain text.
Any ideas... ?

Recurring Appointment Problem
I have an admin that changed one instance of a recurring appointment
and sent the update. She tried to change the confernece room Resource the
meeting was taking place in only to see it stayed the same in her Calendar -
even though Outlook reported the new meeting room was successfully booked.
Also, she she asked another admin to change an instance for the date and
found that for her, even though they got accetances back, it still showed
the original date in her own Calendar.
I have periodically had problems changing recurring meetings only to have
it not work correctly. I was told there could be some corruption in that
particular series and to delete then recreate them (which seems to work) but
what could be causing this? What tool or utility should I use to try and
figure this out? Integ's and Eseutils have been run on this box before
without any issues and I see nothing indicating any form of corruption
events in the Event logs.
Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Outlook 2007 - Contact Activities
Currently in our public folder we have a journal set up for linking contacts
to certain activities. In outlook 2003 we were able to create and event in
the journal then select a contact that we wanted to link to that contact.
After that was created and linked you were able to select the contact and
click on the Activities tab. Under the activities tab it would show you
everything that was linked to that contact.
In outlook 2007 the tab has been replaced with a single button under the
contact. When you click that button EVERY activity that has been logged in
the journal shows up. Is there something wrong with the journal, or with
2007?
The clients with 2003 still on their computers are still able to access the
contact activities like they should.

Exchange\Outlook 2003: How to remove calendar entries of user who has been deleted
A manager left a couple of months ago and his AD user account and

still exist in people's Outlook calendars and also appointments in the

Buttons changed shape in Outlook 2003
Hi,
I had an disastrous encounter with Service pack 1 for Visual Studio
2005 after which many programs stopped working. I got them working
again except one, BOINC, and I also noticed that all the buttons in
Outlook 2003 had changed to ones with hard corners and the window
background color instead of the soft-cornered, nice-looking ones. Word
and Excel seemed to have the original buttons. I suspect that my
inability to get BOINC to work is somehow connected to the Outlook
buttons. I've tried to repair the .NET Frameworks 2.0->3.0 and
reinstalled 1.1. Do I need 1.0? Maybe I have some file missing or a
trashed component but I don't know how to find out which one it is if
it's connected to the .NET Frameworks at all.
Any help would be greately appreciated!

How to Stop Downloading Multiple Copies of Each Email
Recently I installed Vista and tried Windows Mail for awhile but abandoned
it, having concluded that it is loaded with errors and not yet ready for
general use. Previously I was very happy with Outlook Express when I was

I am now using Outlook with Vista but am still having a few learning
problems.
I have 3 internet accounts setup; the same as I had previously on OE. I am
receiving 3 copies of each incoming email instead on one. Under OE, the
account Properties page, General tab, has a box, "Include this account when
receiving mail ..." that I only selected for the Default mail account
thereby restricting the downloads to one.. I cannot find the equivalent
option in Outlook.
Can anyone help?

Outlook 2003: Problems sending mail to new recipients.
This is a very strange situation. I have a user that is using Outlook 2003.
If she sends an email to someone that is already in her "address book" (i.e.
the Outlook "database" of email addresses that is built over time) then the
message will go through just fine. However, if she sends an email to a new
address then as she scrolls down to the "Subject" or body of the letter,
Outlook will say that it has encountered a problem and needs to shut down.
There is also the option to send or not send the report to Microsoft.
I looked at the information in the report and it mentions that the Code is
0xc000005. That doesn't mean much to me. In fact, most of the report info
going to Microsoft is foreign to me. The document being mentioned in the
report is:
Docume~1\bxw31\Locals~1\Temp\71975000.cvr
I found that if I remove as much as I can from the Temp folder within the
user's profile then I can send an email, but it will then give the message
that it has encountered a problem. After that, Outlook will restart.
I have no idea what could be causing this. I have removed the entire office
2003 program and reinstalled it. The problem is still occurring. I'd
greatly appreciate any help or insight on this. Thank you. Tag: wrong time receiving messages Tag: 521851

Font size automatically enlarged
Hello,
when I send an email message using Outlook 2003 SP2 in HTML format,
sometimes the font at some sections of the message will be enlarged
automatically.
The weird thing is: You can only recognize it after the message has been sent.
That means: the text looks normal, all words have the same size. After you
hit the send button and you review the message at "sent items" some sections
have bigger letters than the rest.
Does somebody knows a reason/solution or got any idea?
Thanks in advance!

How can I provide feedback to microsoft?
Outlook is missing a great feature that I really miss from Lotus Notes - the
smart way you could choose "follow this up on" and select the date. The
message would leave your inbox, removing clutter, and then pop it back in as
a new message with the subject preceeded by "Follow up:" on the date you
specified. So simple and convenient!
I know there is a follow up flag system for Outlook, but it's not as neat or
user-friendly. I just love knowing the eMail will appear as new in my inbox

Scroll Bars in Calendar
Hi all
Can anyone tell me where the scroll bar controls are for the calendar
please?
When I view our shared calendar in single day mode, in the right pane I see
the all-day events above and the timed events below.
There is a separate scroll bar for all-day events and timed events.
On another user's PC there is a single scroll bar controlling both all-day
and timed events.
The problem in the latter case is that adding more than 14 all-day events
causes the late additions to drop off the end of the viewed range.
Hope this makes sense
