    - Issue Printing Barcodes From Outlook We get email alerts(HTML Format) that contain barcodes. The barcode on the screen looks fine but when printed from outlook it compresses the barcode making it unreadable. I've taken a screen shot of the barcode from Outlook and printed it. it reads fine.     - Display area / font size in outgoing messages I must have hit something, but I have no idea what. I'm a rather experienced Office User, but I can't figure out what I've done. When I create an outgoing message, my default font is VERY small. It's still the same font size (11 pt) but it appears much smaller. I think I've somehow increased the total display area on my screen. Does anyone know HOW I might have done this, and how I might get it back to "normal?"     - Window Size Hi All I have a strange occurence with one of my users. When she goes to create a new mail, the size of the new window is very very small. She increases the size of the window and sends her mail. At this point outlook should save her size preference, but when she goes to create a new message it is back to the tiny window size again.     - Getting rid of Outlook 2003 folders I have a number of folders in Outlook (2003 SP3) that I either do not use or no longer use (E.G. Journal), or use only very infrequently (E.G. Notes), or do not care what is in them (E.G. Outbox). Given that I have a number of folders and sub-folders in Outlook, I would like to remove them either altogether or at least from view. I have tried right-clicking on the folder, but the delete option in the context menu is greyed out. Is there anyway I can delete / hide these.     - Not receiveing Bounce reports Hi. I was looking for some help and possible reasons and fix's for why I am not receiving reports from emails that bounce. I have tested the accounts that I am sending emails from by sending to a working email address with a differnet domain and replied, so the accounts are fully working. It just when I send an email to an account that will obviously throw a bounce reply to (this was done for testing, and one of the email address was, "mailto:iufhha9783f9anddqq@juu3rnufnvnvj.com"), it doesn't!     - Outlook 2007 not responding Help! I am having problems with Outlook 2007 running on Vista Ultimate. The server is running Exchange 2003. Frequently Outlook greys out and has (not responding) shown in the window title bar. This is generally also accompanied by send/ recieve status blocked at between 60 and 80% in the status bar. If I run Outlook whilst unconnected to the network it seems happy and I have no problems. Although I can't send any emails. This only started to happen 2 weeks ago.     - Trouble adding picture to body of email Well, I lied.....actually I am able to add the picture in Outlook Express, but it fills the whole durn screen. I ended up shrinking the file size from about 1.5MB to 45KB and then shrank the "canvas" size from 4X6 to 2X3 using Photoshop but when I add the smaller image it still fills nearly fills the entire screen and you have to "scroll away" to see the whole file. The only way I can reduce the size of image after I have inserted it in my email note is to click on it and drag the corners inward....but then it doesn't maintain aspect ratio, and I have to "push" the top and or bottom in and sorta guess at the the proper aspect ratio just by "eyeballing" it. I can finally get there by this "brute force" method, but there's gotta be a better way. What step am I missing? I have searched archives (via deja.com) but to no avail.     - Images issue Hello ... My outlook version is 2003, SP3 I'm currently using Salesforce to send out html templates to a group of people (Recipients are using outlook 2003) Some of them (including me) are able to view the images in the html email. there's a small group of people who can only see the red x button in the email even though they have already updated the Outlook settings to allow automatic download of images (tools -> options -> security). How can I go about resolving above such that they can view the images in email content? I also did a test by sending the same template to yahoo and gmail account and the received emails look good. Just to mention another point, when i first received the html email. the images all appear good. However when i tried to forward this email out, the images appear with an red x. Once i closed / cancelled the draft copy and go back to my original email, the image now no longer appear. it will be replaced with an X instead When i tried to trigger a resend from salesforce again, the images (in all the past emails) in outlook will all appear again.     - serious problem with installer on Send/Receive ok, this is the old Windows Installer problem, times ten. i've installed Outlook 2007 Enterprise after i tried Small Business Trial; now every email that comes in starts Windows Installer (seems like twice for each email)... I've tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of anything related to MSOffice, SQl Server, etc... more than once. I've tried Windows Installer Clean Up several times for ALL Office apps.     - .msg attachments Occasionally someone sends me an email message with an attachment that has a msg extension, and when I try to open it in Outlook, nothing happens. This just happened again today, and I would like to show the details here and see if someone can tell me how to correct it in future. I am running Outlook 2002 with Vista. The message came with an attachment of a file labeled blablabla.msg (649k). There was no text in the message window, just the file name shown under attachments. I tried to open the attachment in Outlook by right clicking and selecting "open" but nothing happened. Then I copied the file to my desktop and tried to open it with Notepad and Word, and I got some garbled information - enough to know that somewhere in there was both a text message and an attached file. Then I forwarded this email to another email account I have that I rarely use, and found that it included a text message with an attached Excel file, and I was able to read both. This is at Yahoo.com So my question is what is the deal with Outlook that I couldn't read this, and what do I need to change in settings or whatever to fix it? Thanks for any help.     - Out of Office Assistant I have a user who is on the exchange server. She has set up her Out of Office Assistant to what she wants the message to say, however, when she gets an email or sends herself a test email (from the same account and an alternate POP account) she recieves an old OoO Assistant message. When sending the test email from the exact same account she gets two OoO messages, the new one and the old one. How does this happen and what can be done to correct this problem.     - Outlook repeated requests for Network Password I am having a problem with Outlook's repeated requests for my Network Password. I can't even do the test send/receive as other users have been able to do, as it fails. (I know this has been asked several times, but there are no answers out there that work for me - I have tried them all.) I am using Windows XP and Outlook 2007. I have been using Outlook 2007 fine with no problems for about 2 months now, the problem just started happening today. I did make a change on my computer, today i installed a software called Remove from Group. I removed that software after having this issue and the issue persists. I have turned off automatic send/receive and the problem persists. The only other thing different that I am doing today is I am using Act 2008 to send the emails, however other people at my company with the same configuration have been doing this as well with no issues. I have followed all suggestions including those at Article ID 209684 in MS Help and Support, as well as the suggestions from JeePee to check my registry to make sure it has all the necessary files.     - Public Task List Hello, I'm trying to automatically forward email to a public task list but have failed so far. First I just tried to "mail enable" the task on the Exchange 2003 server like I do with other public folders, but the task list I created does not show up under public folders in Exchange System Manager, only public folders. Then I created a new account with a mailbox, opened Outlook with that user and created a rule to forward all mail sent to that email address to be put into the public task list.     - Recover Outlook from crashed computer Lighting recently hit near my brothers business, and fried most of the electronics and surge protectors, including his business computer. We went out and bought a new one from Best Buy(Time constraints). I put in the hard drive from his fried computer, and it is working fine as a slave in the new system now, so I can get all his files off. He used outlook for pop3 email through yahoo premium, as well as contacts for all his clients, and the calender he used for scheduling. This is the only place he has all the contact information for some 500+ clients. Hes needless to say kinda freaking out, the calender has all his appointments and he will miss most of them until we can get it recovered. The Fried computer is Windows XP with Office 2007 professional, and new computer is Vista Home Premium with Office 2007 Professional. How do I recover from this?     - outlook 2007 remains in a disconnected state Hello. I have users who connect to outlook on our vpn over a sprint mobile broadband connection. It works fine with OL2002, but for some reason, users of OL2007 start up and remain in a disconnected state (even though we have configured OL2007 to prompt the user to "connect or work offline" when it first starts), it remains disconnected even though they hit connect when prompted. Hitting send/receive or F9 just results in it giving a message saying it is not connected. I can ping the exchange 2007 server over the connection.     - restore sound when mail item is permanently deleted I have been using Office 2007 for about a year, and this morning something changed. Historically, when I would designate a mail item for permanent deletion (by hitting shift and delete at the same time), a dialog box would pop up asking me if I was sure that I wanted that item to be permanently deleted. When the dialog box appeared, a sound was made simultaneously. (I believe that if I clicked yes to the question in the dialog box, another sound was made.) Today, for no apparent reason, there are no sounds made. I opened Control Panel and selected "sounds" to see if Outlook was among the programs listed where certain actions within a program could be accentuated with sounds, but i see that Outlook is not listed.     - I can receive but not send in Outlook. Why? I would like to know what I need to have my settings read in order to get the mail in outlook to "send" over my cable service. I get my incoming mail so I don't think this is a problem I should be taking up with my provider. I could be wrong. Send/receive does not get the mail to send. Help is not getting me anything but more advertising from microsoft. I just can't believe I have to get an Outlook 2007 for this to work (I have 2003 version). Any suggestions? I just bought a new PC. I installed Outlook 2007 and then later installed Windows Desktop Search which integrates with Outlook 2007 as the "Instant Search" feature. However, the Instant Search feature in Outlook 2007 returns incomplete results or no results. I did not have this problem on my old computer. What can I do to fix this behavior?

I am having a similar problem in that Outlook will not produce any results
for my searches past 1-9-08. I keep getting back that indexing is not
complete. It's like it is stuck!!
