    - I cannot upload email anymore I have 4 machines running, 2 on XP and 2 on Vista. Recently the 2 running Vista stopped uploading email in Outlook 2007(downloads are ok) while the XP machines are fine. The Vista machines also stopped syncing Groove over the internet. Help!     - Outlook 2003 problem Hi, I did post this earlier to the Install and Configure section, but heard nothing and thought perhaps it is not the best place to post this. I have been using Office 2003 for a few years now, and Outlookhas suddenly become problematic. For no apparent reason, I can no longer open Outlook 2003. It says there is a problem and asks if I would like to open it in safe mode. I say yes, and then it says I can't do this. It then asks me if I wish to run the search and repair, and I say yes. After it runs the Windows Installer for some time, it finally tells me it cannot locate PRO11.MSI. I have tried both my original disks, to no avail. I then get some message (1706?) saying there is a problem with setup. I would be EXTREMELY grateful if someone could help me here, as I cannot access my email. Many thanks in advance.     - Windows Mail the ONLY default newsreader c\alled by Outlook Vista Home Premium SP1, Outlook 2007. The Go-News menu function in Outlook 2007 on Vista Home Premium SP1 will NOT call any other newsreader other than Windows Mail, even when the other news reader is set as default.(Ie it opens when external news links are clicked...) This is in direct contradiction to Outlook 2007 on XP. Does anyone know of a registry hack to allow O2007 to call something other than Windows Mail?     - What's the point of CC now? I remember when I first started using e-mail, you could only put one e-mail address in the To: field.     - How do I delete "Personal Folders" in Outlook 2003? I have 8 perfectly operating accounts in Outlook 2003 (3 Gmail IMAP, 3 Hotmail HTTP and 2 POP/SMTP accounts). However. in my "All Mail Folders"I also have an additional and unused "Personal Folders" which I wish to delete. When I left click on it I get the error message: "The set of folders could not be opened". This error usually appears if the OST or PST file you are using is: Unavailable Protected with file permissions On a share on a server and the network is down Corrupt To correct this problem, store the OST or PST file on the local computer. You may also want to run the scanost.exe and scanpst.exe tools to verify file integrity. More information about this error message online. However, clicking on this latter hyperlink brings up, "Currently there are no Office Assistance articles available for this error message". The folders are not connected to any of my PST files so scanpst.exe has nothing to repair. Right clicking offers the option to Close "Personal Folders" which brings up the message: Create a new profile by double clicking the Maill Icon in control panel, clicking Show Profiles, and then clicking ADD. After creating the new profile, make it your default by selecting it, and then clicking Always use this profile.     - Problem with New Distribution Lists We have a problem which has just started happening. We use Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003. After adding a new Distribution List to our system the list does not appear in the address book through Outlook. Every thing is correct in AD and if you preview the Global Address List on the exchange server the DL is there. We have tried renewing and rebuilding the catalogs through system manager on exchange but the DL is still missing. Outlook is not running in cached mode and have tried downloading a new version of the address book with any success.     - ofc 2003 outlook unable delete copied docs on new unsent emails i find that when i drag my cursor over all or part of a document that i had recently copied into a newly created e-mail document (outlook 2003/word 2003 email editor) and then decided i no longer wished to have that document contained in whole or part of that e-mail it correctly highlights all words that i dragged over, but when i hit the "delete " key on my keyboard to delete this highlighted and unwanted data, it does not delete...nothing happens. i further checked that i can place my cursor on the first character of any word and click and i can then start deleting char by char and that works ok.. but it is inefficient, especially when i want to delete what could be hundreds/thousands of words in succession. this had worked fine less than a few days ago. but something happened and i dont know what. i am using microsoft opffice 2003 with outlook 2003 e-mail and Word 2003 as the editor. i would appreciate it very much if someone could tell me how i can restore the old method of dragging the cursor over to highlight and then just hitting the keyboard "delete" key. fred@home Tag: I've unread emails but cant find them in inbox Tag: 577014

    - how do i import outlook 2000 to office 2007? My old computer with Windows 2000, amd Office 2000 crashed and died. I did have a backup to disc of my outlook 2000. When i open outlook i get asked to enter network password, when i enter correct password i then get error: Task 'pop3.blueyonder.co.uk-Sending and Recieving' reported error (0x800CCC92): 'Your e-mail server rejected your login.Verify your username and password in your account properties.     - cannot send e-mail We have a wireless network at our home and have three ISPs. Starting yesterday no one can send e-mails from Outlook. We can receive them and get online just fine. It is not the ISP because we have different ones. If I log into the ISP I can send e-mail. I have rebooted the entire wireless network and that didn't help.     - Outlook 2007 & time zones Recently, I had to replace my notebook. That replacement took place just few hours from travelling abroad. I hadn't time to install nothing. On the destination country I configures the local time zone (GMT-3; Brasilia), instaled a trial version of Office 2007 Professional, configured my e-mail accounts, send and receive mails, create appointments in both local and home country (GMT; Lisbon) time zones. Everything worked like a charm. On arrival, at the Lisbon airport, I changed the time zone back to 'GMT; Lisbon', and started Outlook. CPU utilization rocketed to nearly 100% and Outlook become irresponsive. I performed a repair with SCANPST but the problem persisted. Them I tried to change the computer (running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit) time zone back to 'GMT-3; Brasilia' and the Outlook become responsive again, and CPU utilization backed to 'normal' values. After that, I changed time zone again to 'GMT; Lisbon' and be able to use Outlook normally. Until I stop it and start it again.     - importing mail sub folders I realize now that import/export is a BAD idea, I belive I am doomed because of it. I exported my mail folders along with the sub folders to a file on 2.19,08 and 5.9.08 Unfortunately in process of doing something else my e-mails are gone. The windows log on screen advises that I have unread emails. When I click on
the hyperlink under my sign in name, the sytem tells me how many emails are
in each account inbox but when I open either account in Outlook, there are no
"unread" messages. Where can they be sitting?
