    - Remove Deleted Items from Inbox For some reason about 5 emails disappeared from my inbox today. So I looked online and discovered numerous people suggesting to go into my Custom View and "Clear All" on the filter, in an effort to replace the mails. Not only did that not work (my emails are still missing), I can now see all of my previously deleted emails (strikethroughs) in my inbox and I have no idea what sort of filter to put back in place to get these out of my inbox. However, when I use an excel table with "text" felds which only contain numbers, these fields are considered numbers (not text) by these other programs.     - Outlook deletes self-addresses emails Somewhere along the line I added myself to the junk mail filter (at least that's where I am assuming I did this horrible deed) and even after deleting my address from the junk mail filter, turning off the junk mail filter, reinstalling Office 2003 (couldn't repair, had to go the whole Windows Install Cleanup route), it is still happening. This is a work machine on an Exchange server. The mail is reported as being delivered in the Message Tracking Center, and in fact I can watch it show up in my inbox then immediately disappear. It does NOT end up in the trash...it is permanently deleted. Then 15 seconds later the New Mail Desktop Alert on the taskbar reports that the message has been received and when I select that popup I get the message "The Operation Failed". I'm lost. Any help?     - HTML Email Link Unclickable (Is it too long?!?) Outlook 2007 I have an HTML email that has a long URL in it (maybe 1000 characters in length). In Outlook 2007, the link is shown with the full URL; however, when I try to click in it it doesn't work. I then booted the email up in Outlook 2003 and it works. Is there a max size for a URL in Outlook 2007 that is different than Internet Explorer and Outlook 2003? The email address of the sender is on my white list. I have my Junk e-mail Option set to allow only mail from people or domains on my Safe Senders List or Safe Recipients List to be delivered to my inbox. Safe Senders includes e-mail from my contacts.     - Problem with Distribution list I use Outlook for my email program. I use several distribution list so have a working knowledge of how the idea works. I am experiencing difficulty however. In one of my lists, I get almost immediate replies from the system listing several addresses that were not delivered. The email addresses are listed in the message. I have then highlighted te link in the message failure notice and created a new single address email to that "failed address" and without fail, they are delivered.     - Emails going to Contacts instead of Inbox I have a user who tried to save a lsit of email addresses from an email by dragging it to her Contacts area from the Inbox. I was trying to install a Samsung SW tool to synch a new phone, which I was never able to make work, so I uninstalled it.     - Script error I normally use Office Outlook 2003 for email and have recently encountered problems when trying to use search engines (Metacrawler and Ask.com) to surf the internet. I am using Windows XP Home v5.1 Build 2600 sp3 and Internet Explorer 7 v7.0.5730.11. When performing internet searches using a search engine, I consistently encounter an "IE Script Error, error has occurred in the script, line xx, char yy, Error: could not complete the operation due to error zzz04005". The xx,yy, and zzz values vary depending on the search but the 04005 is consistent.     - How do I read a message in Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Sometimes server performance reports arrive with Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 and it's not readable. I understand that exchange will do that when content has some number of 8 bit characters.     - Problem color-coding messages by sender Hi, I have successfully color-coded messages from my boss, "Joe Blow", to red in my Outlook 2003 in-box. I have also color-coded messages from a director, "Anna Smith", in green. I followed the steps of highlighting a message from that sender and going through the Tools option, etc. on the menu bar. My problem is that *any* messages coming from a user with the first name "Joe" are color-coded in red. Also, *any* messages coming from a user with the last name "Smith" are color-coded in green.     - Attachments arriving as ATT000XX.dat in O2003SP3 -but not in SP2 When Outlook 2003 doesnt like the attachment filename its sometimes converts it into ATT000XX.suffix. On our Outlook 2003 SP2 receiving clients the suffix still is intact and hence its no problem for user to open it (e.g ATT00054.pdf). Our frustrated secretary has Outlook 2003 SP3 (also std with same lang), and receives the mailcopy attachment as ATT000XX.dat, and hence dont know what program to use for opening it (because of the suffix now being "dat").     - Rules set date to "None" I have rules set up to move emails to different folders when they arrive. When the rule moves the email and I look at the email in the folder it was moved to, the date says "None". They are all below the dated ones. If I click on the email, it gives it a date and sorts it to the correct area with in the date field. This also happens if I manually drag the emails to any folder.     - Deleting addresses from an expanded Distribution List I have created a Universal Distribution Group in Active Directory for my IT department; the one problem we're having is when someone expands the list in Outlook to delete addresses from it. When that happens, the sender gets NDR's for several recipients, but if we send a message to the entire group and expand the list, it works fine; it only seems to be a problem if someone removes an address form the list.     - Scanpst Aborts without making changes - HELP I have posted this on another forum and have not had any luck in a response. Hope you all can help. I receive an error when I load Outlook 2007. My pst file cannot be opened and I should run the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst) to fix. When I do that, scanpst gets to a point where it aborts and no changes were made to the file. I have run scanpst 5 or 6 times and each time I get the same error. Outlook cannot open the file in normal OR safe mode. I have also run the disk error checking program and defragged the drive. Still no luck ... I am running Windows Vista Ultimate, 32 bit. I have booted in safe mode and stopped everything I could prior to running scanpst. I have also executed the program as administrator. In all cases, I received the same error message. I have also scoured the Microsoft communitities and KB for help and have found nothing about this problem. The error I am receiving is a scanpst error so either I have a unique problem or Outlook has some kind of a bug. The file is large ... ~6GB. There are plenty of other info you could provide, i.e.
- Outlook version?
- account type?
- message type?
- did this work before?

Also, does it also happen when you run Outlook in Safe Mode (Start ->
Run -> outlook /safe [OK])?
