    - Outlook 2007 on Vista and email stuck in outbook The computer is running Vista Ultimate using Outlook 2007 (clean install, not upgraded from Outlook 2003). When the user creates their email and sends it (with or w/out an attachment) it just gets stuck in the outbox. There are no errors produced. Outlook will just keep trying send/receive forever and just sit there. Eventually, the user will work offline and delete the msg. Can't find anything on the web either. Using POP3 account so that rules out any exchange issues. No Internet problem either w/the computer. Disabling the anti-virus software still results in the same (email stuck). Any idea's?     - Outlook 2003 Myths I use Outlook 2003 at work on a Toshiba Laptop with MS Windows XP SP3 (SP3 was just installed today). My Outlook pst file is approaching 1.6 GB and our IT staff indicate that any pst file larger than 2 GB will slow down Outlook and all processes on the computer in general. My pst file tends to get large because of attachments to the e-mails themselves. I would like to archive my outlook messages with the attachments, but I am deathly afraid that I will lose some critical messages that I have accumulated in a number of folders over time (over the past 5 years). Our IT department has also indicated that the autoarchive function is very suspect and once created, it is almost impossible to retrieve old messages from the archive folders. That leaves me in a dilemma. If I can't archive, and my pst file grows beyond 2 GB causing performance problems, what's the solution? I searched this group to see if I could find anything that describes the archiving function issues our IT guys have stated but I have seen nothing along those lines.     - Toolbar keeps appearing I have a user that when she opens a message, the Autoshapes toolbar appears. I have tried everything to get rid of it.     - Outllok not sending email- but trying in endless loop I am running OL 07/ XP on a Lenovo x61 Tablet and have all latest updates... I am having an issue sending. This seems to be random although it MAY be on mail I originate with multiple recipients (still testing). When I send, the message does not go and the send cycle continues to repeat rapidly (like 300 times or more a minute). Even with the send/ receive task box open it seems to be impossible to cancel. the only way to kill the process is to disable my interent connection and force-close outlook through Task Manager. I use NEO Pro with Outlook but this is happening even when NEO has not opened. This happened randomly (1 or 2 times a year) before and I have always simply killed the mail, erased the message, recreated and sent. That does not work this time. The issue that I have is that when I search through archive folders (attached .pst files in MS Outlook 2007), the search comes back with, "No Matches Found."     - Sudden loss of folder and e-mails!?! Hi everyone! This morning when starting up Microsoft Outlook 2007 (running Vista) I suddenly noticed that one of my folders was suddenly gone (including all mails in it). The folder had to do with one of my email accounts and was created by using the New Folder in the Archive menu and then set up a rule that forwarded every email to that account into that folder... I've tried to search for a .pst-file without success and the folder in question has not jumped in under another folder (so looking for plus signs is out of question)! I can't find it in Junk Mail or in any other folder! I also tried doing a System Restore as I thought it might had to do with some recent updates by Windows, but also without luck. I vaguely remember a pop up showing up yesterday telling me that the rules I had set up for this particular folder isn't working but in all the hurry I just clicked the Escape button and ignored it...     - Searching psts not working Hi, I have an Outlook 2007 client installed on Vista Business connected to MS Exchange 2003. Outlook is configured to move all mail older than 1 year to an archive.pst file residing on a mapped net drive on a weekly basis. When you search for emails in Outlook the emails in the archive.pst file are not picked up. I have proved this by searching the subject line of an email that is in the archive.pst file and NOT in the exchange mailbox and 0 results are returned. Outlook's search settings have tick boxes for both the Mailbox - User store and the Archive.pst store. Indexing in Control Panel has been configured to index psts (bear in mind the pst file resides on a network drive - is this my problem?). Now I have read up a bit on this, but maybe not enough. Anyway, it shouldn't be this hard. I remembered a.) rebuilding the indexes and b.) removing the check boxes for Archive.pst in Outlook and psts in Indexing, restarting, setting these back to "on", restarting, opening Outlook. This hasn't helped. I think it did work for a wee while, but it soon fell over again. So, from what I gather is that this search engine is pretty much useless. MS should be ashamed, basically. Is that unfair? Is there something I have failed to do or understand? I have ever so recently discovered KB 918996. Is this my problem? It is just that I would have thought that Outlook knows to index this pst store and knows where it is. Configuring index locations, then file types, then software clients is a bit tedious in my opinion, but I guess it's a "work in progress" and I shouldn't be such a whinge.
