    - Some e-mails change to "read". Auto-read not selected. Some of my e-mails in Outlook 2003 are changing to a "read" status even though I haven't read them. I DO NOT have the option set to mark them read automatically when viewed in the preview pane, or when I stay on the same e-mail for more than "X" seconds.     - How do I resetup a user's Outlook account on their desktop compute This is with Outlook/Office 2003 Frequently, the .pst file gets munged in some sort of way so it doesn't let us remove extra mailboxes on the users outlook. It seems to be necessary to resetup their Outlook complete to get rid of these ghost accounts. I have not been able to figure out how to do this without removing their account from their desktop computer and remaking it, which is a hassle because then you need to reduplicate their settings, links, etc. I do not want to remake their exchange server account, I just want to remake their local Outlook.     - problem with inserting hyperlinks We are using Outlook/Office 2003 We have part of a dfs mounted file system. When a user tries to insert a hyper link in their email (using insert->hyperlink from new message or reply in Outlook) some users cannot see this dfs moutned file system. The weird thing is it seems to have nothing to do with permissions. Some users can see that files system and some can't, doesn't matter if they have admin privledges or not. What can we do about this? Interestingly, even if they can't see the filesystem/folder under "Look in" if they go to the right of that row and click on "Browse for file" they can see it. This is a workaround, but users don't like the unnecessary steps. And besides I'm curious as to what is causing this problem.     - Rules & Alerts Wizard crashing Outlook Greetings, We are having a problem with Outlook shutting down and having to restart when the rules & alerts Wizard is started with Rules configured for one user on one workstation on a Domain using Exchange Server. IF the rules are deleted or not enables, the Wizard will run but as soon as a rule is setup and you try to open the Wizard again Outlook crashes and has to restart. Otherwise Outlook works fine.     - Nuisance toolbars and toolbar appearance in Outlook 2003 I recently got a new laptop at work, with a full new install of Office 2003, etc. Also, I have Word as my email editor. I've been frustrated by the persistence of the toolbars and their appearance. I get an "Attach As Adobe PDF" toolbar every time I reply to an email or generate a new one. The wireless at work in unsecure so not sure if this is a problem. Typically when I send an email from my outlook, the message content is controlled/corrected by the formatting tools built in to outlook (i.e. when I type the first name in all lower case, it will automatically change the first letter to an uppercase.     - Outlook 2007 via SBS VPN gets intermittent connection issues? Hi, I have an SBS 2003 Server with a client using XP Pro and connecting via Small Business Server Connection manager. Nine times out of ten she gets the: "Task reported error 0x8004011D. The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists." I have checked that she can ping the server from a command prompt and that works fine and indeed she can access another application on the same server that uses a terminal application and she can get through to run that OK so I know she is connected OK to the main server. In an earlier attempt to see if I could get this to work I did add the server name to the hosts file (I know in and Active Directory and DNS set up I shouldn't need this but when you are struggling you try anything). I don't think I need it but threw that in, in case it is now having a negative bearing on the issue. I had a look at various posts including the KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939321 but this seems to be Vista based and the "netsh advfirewall ..." command isn't available to XP. Does anyone know of any other reasons that might be causing this? She has found that she can connect on a day when there are less users in the office that she is connecting to, so it may be some form of limit that is being exceeded??     - Calendar Attachment wont save in Calendar Hello, I composed an email in Outlook 2007 and included two (2) calendar attachments. When I attempt to remove ANY attachments (regardless of file type) the option is ALWAYS greyed out and I cannot remove the attachments... please help. (Thank you!) I used to be able to open all my attachments at the same time in Outlook
2000, but we were forced to upgrade to 2003 and it makes me open the
attachments one at a time. I do not have time for this, as many times, I
have 50 or more attachments in an e-mail. Is there any way to highlight them
all and hit <return> like I used to do?

I don't think so but you could save them all to a directory then open them
all from there pretty quickly
