    - How to move Outlook 2003 from one computer to another Why can't Microsoft provide advice on a really simple thing like moving Outlook 2003 from one computer to another? There is advice on how to move a data file from one computer to another but that doesn't say anything about how to make your Contacts list an address book nor any advice on setting up Archiving. I consider myself reasonably IT literate but I don't buy a new PC every other day nor do I necessarily do a software upgrade every time I get a new computer. I have had to resort to the Discussion Forum threads to find out how to get my Contacts to display as an Address book when writing an email. Dare I say that I have not even come across an explanation of why my Contacts are not an Address Book. Having a little note somewhere stating that there is a difference (rather than having to deduce there is a difference) would be most helpful. Is there a way to create a rule in Outlook 2007 so that multiple search text rules for a single condition are chained together with AND rather than OR, or using a wildcard or regular expression? I'm trying to match an email from a particular sender with a subject like "Issue: 123456 was updated - Some Description Blah Blah Blah", where the number 123456 can be any number and the descriptive text will vary. The tricky part is that there are similar emails with subjects like "Issue:123456 was added - Some Description Blah Blah Blah" that I don't want filtered. AFAICT, without wildcards or regex support, I'll need the rule to be based on three conditions: the specific sender, the subject starting with the text "Issue:" and the subject containing the text "was updated". So far, I have only been able to get the two subject line word searches to be OR'd... Conversely, I want to setup a search folder to show both Unread items from the inbox OR anything marked with a particular category or flag (read or unread). Search folder criteria seem to default to being ANDd together, but for this purpose I need them to be ORd. Is there a way to do that?     - Missing "Sent Items" folder I have a mailbox on Exchange 2003 that have the "Sent Items" folder missing from Outlook folder view. It does not show up in OWA either. If I do a search in Outlook for any sent itmes, the emails comes up. So...the sent emails are there but just not visible. I have done a outlook.exe /resetfolders I have deleted mailbox from AD and then reconnected again. I tried doing an exmerge to the mailbox but the resulting pst file does not contain the "sent items" either. Any other ideas??     - Missing msvcr71.dll I'm running WIN XP and Office 2003. I was trying to install Outlook Busness Contact Manager and after it was installed when I opened Outlook it told me there was an error and it would need to close. After several tries I uninstalled OBCM. I then put in the Outlook Small Business Ed 2003 CD and clicked on repair Outlook 2003. When it got finished it said it did not complete the installation. When I opened Outlook I got an error that said "This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem". I tried re-installing Outlook and the error continues. Outlook appears to run just fine after I click OK on the error message. How do I get rid of this error? The issue is, when the end user (who has a valid, signed, certificate issued by verisign) double clicks on an encrypted email is prompts him for a password. He types it in and all is well. But when he double clicks on another encrypted email, it doesn't prompt him for a password. He wants it to prompt him everytime and I just can't figure out how to do it. The security setting on the certificate is set to HIGH so it should prompt him everytime its used. The main thing here is he wants it to prompt him everytime. Any thoughts? It worked fine for a while and now when I try to open it a message comes up that says it needs to start in " safe mode". I then start it in safe mode and a prompt comes up that says " Personal Folder Password" and then asks me to "type password for Outlook2".     - Outlook 2007 not connecting to the internet I am running Outlook 2007 on Vista. It is set up as my default email program. When I review my email profile settings from the control panel and send a test message it sends just fine, and appears on my Blackberry so I know it's working. However, I can't send or receive from Outlook 2007. It times out in trying to connect to the server. I tried clicking on the "search the web" icon from outlook and it tells me that I'm not connected to the internet, even though I can access the internet when I open my browser from the desktop.     - Calendar causes Outlook to Hang I am a new user to Microsoft Outlook 2007. It has been installed for three days during which time I have been using each of the email, calendar, contact and to do list functions without incident. This afternoon I was in the email part of the system when I decided to look at my calendar. I pressed the Calendar tab in the bottom left corner of the screen. Instead of replacing the emial highlighting, IN ADDITION the Calendar tab was highlighted as well as the email tab. I got the system not responding message. The system tried to send an error report to Microsoft, but that also hung up after a few minutes. I used the Task manager to exit which also hung up. Eventually using task manager I could close down each program running individually each time getting system could not close down on each program individually including non Outlook programs before finally exiting. I rebooted, repeated the process with exactly the same results. Each time the Calendar button is pressed, Outlook stops working at all,hangs and is very difficult to exit from even using Task Manager.Switching between Email, todo and contacts works fine. Moving from any of these three into Caledar causes the same effect desribed above leaving two keys highlighted and a hanging Outlook. Other programs continue fine. I am a new Outlook user (previously Eudora email and Lotus Organiser 6 contact) , calendar and to do list. I have not imported data from either system yet. I am running a Dell with a Local partitioned disk TOSHIBA MK1252GSX . I have plenty of capactity using Antivir virus protection and Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version: 5.1.2600 Service Pack: 2.0 with Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU T7250 @ 2.00GHz Version: x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 13 Speed: 1994 MHz Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU T7250 @ 2.00GHz Version: x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 13 Speed: 1995 MHz System Model: Latitude D630 BIOS Version: Dell Inc. A12 I am not very computer savvy. Does anyone have any ideas how I could fix the problem. Have I left out any vital information to enable someone to help me. Everything else seems fine at present.     - Spell check not working in Outlook 2007 We are migrating to Office 2007. We have approx. 600 users on Office 2007. We are using Windows XP SP2, Office 2007 with Exchange 2003 SP2. Several users have called in reporting that spell check is not working. Words are misspelled, will do a spell check, and the spell check does not find them. Another user performs a spell check and when they right click on the misspelled word, words appear but they are grayed out so the user cannot select the correct spelling of the word. I have looked for the Override folder in the registry, but this does not exist. I have checked all settings. This is sporadic and not happening to all users. We have uninstalled and resinstalled Office 2007, created a new Outlook profile, ran an Office Diagnostics, nothing seems to fix this issue.
