lost compacted mails OE6.0

Tutorials Win: Microsoft Windows Forum

Please Help. While OE 6.0 compacting my mails to save the memory space,
suddenly the computer (Window XP) shut down and restart. Seemed like all
'send' and 'deleted' mails were saved before the shut down, but part of
'received' mails were lost ... since 2006...two years worth of mails were
gone. 2004-2006 were saved. Is there anyway for me to retreve those lost
mails? Please help.

Thanks you, but I guess I did something very wrong.
When I tried to restore the inbox .bak files in the Recycle Bin,
I only able to choose 'Replace the same named files' which has
about 10 minutes newer time, otherwise, I had to cancel the
restore.

Then, my inbox mails had lost forever even after restored all
mail related files in the Recycle Bin and restarted OutLook Express.

Is there still anyway left to save the two years emails from my inbox?

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.
