Imagine my surprise this morning when I launched Outlook 2007 (MSO
12.0.4518.1014) on my quite new Vista system only to receive the error in
the Subject line.

It worked fine the day before, and is working now. I can't find anything
about this in the KB.

Is it more likely an Outlook problem, Vista problem, or possibly a video
driver problem (I use ATI Catalyst drivers with my Radeon 9600 XT 128MB --
I'm using the latest version available in Windows Update, but not the latest
version available from ATI, which I'll try next if this recurs).

I do use Aero Glass, if that pertains. The system has 2GB RAM.

So it fixed itself again? What is the issue?

He said, joking, I assume. It worked upon running it a second time, but
obviously there's somethin' wrong somewhere in one of the three areas I
mentioned, or a combination of them. I never once saw that happen in XP.

No, I'm serious; there is a lot of stuff built-in to fix errors directly so
it looks like Outlook did a proper job. Are you able to reproduce the error?
Then this would be a different case.

Nothing about that error suggested that Outlook did anything to fix the
problem. It outright suggested I reinstall. I'll see how it goes in the
coming days, but I thought it was a rather dramatic and unusual issue.

Well, it took 2 months, but I got it again today, and again it worked the
next time. Like last time I allowed error reporting to send off the
information to MS, on the chance that it's of any use to them. The faulting
module this time, however, is OGL.DLL; last time it was KERNEL32.DLL (see
further down in this message). In both cases the error message presented to
the user was the same (see the Subject of this message).

OGL.DLL is an Office application extension file entitled "Office Graphics
Library."
