Outlook 2007 reading pane blank & trust center hangs
I recently added another user to my computer and imported a PST file. The
reading pane is blank unless I right click and then the message appears. I
read that it might be a problem in the trust center, but when I click trust
center outlook hangs... I cannot click anything and I must end the process in
task manager.
Any thought? Thanks. Tag: error with hyperlinks Tag: 587729
Delete extra inbox
I have Microsoft Outlook 2003 SP3. I had two web-based email accounts that I
used Outlook to pull the email from. I have now closed one of the accounts. I
would like to get rid of one of the inboxes, but the main one appears to have
been connected to the account I closed. The option to close it is greyed out,
the account I left open does give me the option to close it. I have deleted
the profile to the closed account. When I look at the path for the open mail
account, Outlook indicates that it cannot find the path of the file, but it
is pulling my mail fine. I am not sure how to get rid of the extra inbox (and
all the other folders, calender, journal, notes, etc.). Tag: error with hyperlinks Tag: 587723
Searching Outlook 2003 in Vista
I had the impression that Vista's search capabilities were much better than
XP, including being able to search inside Outlook messages.
So I was hoping to be able to search from the directory where I keep several
PST files to find which one has the messages I'm looking for. But Vista
search doesn't seem to work as I'd hoped.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better way to locate messages if the
PST files aren't open in Outlook?
Thanks

Problems with Outlook 2003 Archive
I'm having trouble with messages being archived to locations that I didn't
expect, and would like some clarification on how archiving works within
Outlook 2003.
I was expecting that each PST file would have different default archive
settings but it appears this isn't the case. Instead, it seems that the
default settings apply to every folder unless explicitly overwritten. This
is a problem for me because I typically keep several PST files open. What
I'm finding is that all of the archives are being directed into a single PST
file - undoing what I've been trying to achieve with the separate PST files.
Since each folder would need to set up explicitly, it appears that the only
logical workaround is to turn off auto archiving - at least until I no longer
need multiple PST files loaded.
Can someone confirm that my understanding is correct and also if there is
any other recommended way to deal with archiving?
Thanks

Font size on incoming mail
We have started using Outlook 2007 on a couple of my office PC's. My question
concerns the font size of some of the incoming messages. Often times they
will be in extremely small font. It is very difficult to read for my people
and I can't figure out if there is a way around it. It appears to be random
in nature. I am sure that there is a reason I am just not aware of it. Any

Separate Folders For Separate A/cs Using Same Server
When I set two different email accounts in outlook for instance:
email1@serverA.com
email2@serverA.com
there are no separate folders setup.
However in a case of:

email2@hotmail.com
two different sets of folders are created. How can I setup exclusively
different set of folders in the first example as well?

Remember last folder in Outlook?
When I am saving or attaching documents in Outlook 2007 on XP, I want the pop
box to return to the last folder I used. For example, I am attaching several
documents to separate emails. The documents I'm attaching are all saved in
one folder ("Wire Update"). How can I get the pop box ("Insert file")to
return to the folder ("Wire Update") when I click Attach in the next email?
It keeps returning to the "My Documents" folder.
Note: I don't want to change the default location, I want it to remember the
last folder I was in.
Am I making sense?

Customising delivery rules
Outlook 2003: I've just changed to Outlook from Outlook Express and have the
following problem: We have two users on the computer and infinite e-mail

Customization of inbox rules

running on my inbox to manage the various communication streams during my

channel flow to various folders as I do on my PC at work. However, one thing
that I have not found yet is if it is possible to use wild card in the mail

of the emails with the domain of microsoft.com to a folder. Tag: error with hyperlinks Tag: 587615

Upgrade to 2007?
I'm using Outlook (and Office) 2003, with Win XPSP3.
What advantages (and disadvantages, if any, besides the expense) would I
find in upgrading to Outlook 2007? (Of course the upgrade would be to Office
2007, but for this discussion we can just discuss the changes to Outlook,
not other Office programs.)
Is 2007 less buggy, more stable? (Not always the case with new versions.
Sometimes adding new features creates more bugs.) (For instance, would the
problem I recently described of losing text on sending an e-mail, occur just
as likely in OL 2007?)

I expected to have to pull up the name the first time, but it will recognize

recognized a couple of times, the next day it doesn't know it any more.

Endless Loop with Outlook Send
My Outlook 2007 developed a weird problem. Some times, an e-mail in
Outlook 2007 goes into some sort of endless loop, triggering multiple
"sending e-mail" tasks (thousands of them
actually) while actually not delivering anything.
I have:
- scanned my PST with scanpst.exe
- re-create my PST from scratch;
- created a new profile
- disabled all third-party aps that communicate with Outlook
- "repaired" my Outlook installation;
None of this is helping...

Unique Identifier
Hi folks,
I'm not sure if this is the right category; I am linking a specific folder
from Outllook into Microsoft Access. The db I'm using it to keep track of
staff inquiries and I have linked a folder from Outllook to the db so that I
can keep notes on the inquires as they come in by e-mail. What I need from
Outlook is the ability to show the unique identifier in the linked table. I
know how to put it on the form, however I can't seem to publish that form in
the correct folder. Secondly I'm not sure that would work. If I alter a form
to reflect the unique identifier, will it show on the linked table in Access.
If I can do that I can do the rest in Access.
Alternaitivly, if anyone has a suggestion on how to make an e-mail unique,
that would be appreciated too!
Thanks,
Brent
