    - Rules & Alerts Wizard crashing Outlook Greetings, We are having a problem with Outlook shutting down and having to restart when the rules & alerts Wizard is started with Rules configured for one user on one workstation on a Domain using Exchange Server. IF the rules are deleted or not enables, the Wizard will run but as soon as a rule is setup and you try to open the Wizard again Outlook crashes and has to restart. Otherwise Outlook works fine. I was wondering if this is a known issue and if there is a way to fix it other than reloading the machine. Have tried a new profile for said user on that machine.     - To field is blank on some emails. I have 2 users that are having this issue. Some of the emails they send are successfully being delivered, but when they look in the Sent items folder at the emails, the To: field is blank. One of the users sends to an AD distribution group and the To: field remains blank. Other users send to the same group and do not have the issue. The recipients see a blank To: field also.     - Nuisance toolbars and toolbar appearance in Outlook 2003 I recently got a new laptop at work, with a full new install of Office 2003, etc. Also, I have Word as my email editor. I've been frustrated by the persistence of the toolbars and their appearance. I get an "Attach As Adobe PDF" toolbar every time I reply to an email or generate a new one. It also always comes up at the top of the toolbars, giving me four rows of toolbars, taking up alot of real estate on this little laptop screen. I realize this is a third-part add-in, but why can't I control it via the customize and options settings? Do I have to uninstall all Adobe products? If so, how can I control them because we do have some integrated Adobe tools we always need to use. I have removed the toolbar by the View menu, I have gone into Customize and removed it. I have done this in both Outlook and Word. This is driving me nuts. I thought when you change the appearance of a window habitually, the program adapts it the way you've been using it, as with choosing sender fields from Options.     - Does not send or receive I am having trouble sending and receiving email from my laptop at work. I am using outlook 2007. I can send/receive at home using my secure wireless. The wireless at work in unsecure so not sure if this is a problem. I am running nortons 2008 In the program rules of nortons, outlook is set to allow both incoming and outgoing, but even when I completely disable it outlook does not send/receive.     - Attaching PDF to Email - Formatting Issue Please HELP... Typically when I send an email from my outlook, the message content is controlled/corrected by the formatting tools built in to outlook (i.e. when I type the first name in all lower case, it will automatically change the first letter to an uppercase. Also, the spell check is active, etc. etc. etc.). But when I am viewing a PDF in Adobe Reader and want to send it in an email, I select: File - Attach in Email. Then the email screen that comes up does not have the standard formatting corrections like in a regular email from outlook.     - Outlook stops sending email, have to restart outlook to get it to A user of Outlook has this problem, Outlook will stop sending mail and everything will sit in the outbox. To get it to send the user has to restart Outlook. After the restart the emails will get sent but then the user cannot receive any mail.     - MS Access scheduled email through Outlook I have a report from MS Access scheduled to be emailed daily. The macro executes the report, but I get a "Choose profile" screen. There is only 1 choice and even if i click options and select "default" I get the screen the next time. If I click "ok" the report executes correct. This is running with Outlook 2000. I recently installed 'Outlook Personal Folders Back-up' downloaded from the MS Office web site. I just purchased a Palm Centro Smartphone thinking the new Palmm software would help. No it did not.     - Outlook 2007 via SBS VPN gets intermittent connection issues? Hi, I have an SBS 2003 Server with a client using XP Pro and connecting via Small Business Server Connection manager. Nine times out of ten she gets the: "Task reported error 0x8004011D. The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists." I have checked that she can ping the server from a command prompt and that works fine and indeed she can access another application on the same server that uses a terminal application and she can get through to run that OK so I know she is connected OK to the main server. In an earlier attempt to see if I could get this to work I did add the server name to the hosts file (I know in and Active Directory and DNS set up I shouldn't need this but when you are struggling you try anything). I don't think I need it but threw that in, in case it is now having a negative bearing on the issue. I had a look at various posts including the KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939321 but this seems to be Vista based and the "netsh advfirewall ..." command isn't available to XP. Does anyone know of any other reasons that might be causing this? She has found that she can connect on a day when there are less users in the office that she is connecting to, so it may be some form of limit that is being exceeded??     - Calendar Attachment wont save in Calendar Hello, I composed an email in Outlook 2007 and included two (2) calendar attachments. I instructed users to open the desired calendar attachment and hit Save & Close to save it to their calendar; however, when users do that the appointment is not saved to the calendar.     - Question about "Contacting the Server for Information" message I had to completely redo my computer and I installed my Office 2007.     - Empty Reading Pane I have Outlook 2007 installed on Vista Home Premium. When I first boot up and bring up Outlook, the reading pane is there and I can see the text of the message. However after looking at one or two messages, the pane goes blank and even closing Outlook down and re-starting it seems to make no difference. This was also occuring in Word, however 'Dell Tech Support' who carefully checked all the settings were correctly saved, they finally managed to resolved this double line spacing issue in 'Word' by creating a new 'Normal' template.     - Why is "remove" greyed out for all of my attachments? This is for removing attachments in Outlook 2003: My company limits storage space for e-mails. Obviously a lot of this space is used up by attachments that I always save, but the attachment remains on the e-mail and takes up that much more space.     - Pst file not closed down correctly..... Ive seen many people asking about this around the web but have yet to see a useful answer. I use Outlook XP with windows XP and over recent months it has become increasingly unstable. Issues: Above message shown usually (but not always) when I launch Outlook. Then takes 3-10 minutes to launch. Programme does not back-up when closed down (I have backup utility installed). Programme does not shut down when closed and is still in File Manager. I know it is meant to remain for a short while but it just stays there forever (even after waiting a long time). It then does not usually reopen if I try to launch it again. I end up using "Knock-out" to kill one of the processes, and am then told that it hasnt shut down properly and I have to wait again. Attempts at cure: Emptied deleted items. Reinstalled Outlook. Detect & Repair. Scan pst. Have ended up changing name of pst file. Am becoming terrified of fiddling any more as my mail data is very important. pst file is 2 1/2 yrs old and is 1.4 GB.     - Fraudulent Emails being sent from my outlook account Can anyone tell me how you know if someone has hacked into your outlook account and then in turn sent out fraudulent emails from it., We use outlook for our business, we have never had a problem until the last month, when we had our account shut down by the server company who said we were sending out fraudulent emails from our account. we lost all our email business for a week whilst we tried to sort it out and even now, a lot of our emails from outlook to other address such as hotmail or yahoo email accounts are returned undeliverable. We dont know if our business emails are being sent or not and what we are supposed to do at this time to stop it. Stupidest thing I've seen (recently) from Microsoft ... well, since I
discovered what Outlook 2003 has been doing to images pasted into outgoing
emails.

With a Hotmail Plus paid subscription - emails from one Hotmail account are
being filtered to Junk rather than Inbox of other account.

Yes, I added accounts to Safe list - but it still seems wacky!
