Why does Outlook say 'Sending' when nothing to send?

When I log on to Outlook, the 'Sending' message comes up although nothing in
Outbox. It's now progressed sequentially from 'Sending' 1 message to
'Sending 1 of 4'. It takes ages for 'real' messages to be sent. I deal with
it by Cancelling All in Details box but then get an 'Error' message

you have 4 accounts configured in outlook? known bug.
