When I am trying to delete messages in my inbox, I highlight the message and
click the delete icon. Outlook, then deletes not only the highlighted
message, but also two or three unhighlighted messages below it.

I am also having problems with Outlook 2007 deleting 2 messages when I click to delete just one. It deletes it very quickly and I have to pay close attention and then go up and do undelete to get the 2nd one back...I've only found one other post on this subject. One suggestion was to create a new email profile and see if it helped. Have you solved the problem?

Hi Doug,

No. We too must be extremely careful not to loose e-mails...it happens so
fast. No one at MS has a suggestion nor a solution. Very frustrating. If we
come across a solution, or you do, lets keep each other posted, OK?

Thanks for your reply,
Jim
