It is set up and work flawlessly on my home network . I travel a lot and connect my own laptop to "guest networks" at client sites, either through their "guest wireless" or with a cable.     - Can't open Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Hi all, I'm using Win Vista Premium Home OS and installed Outlook 2007. When using Outlook 2007, I pressed the button Send/Receive many times to get mail messages. Then I closed Outlook and opened again. This message appeared: Run Outlook in safe mode, yes or no? (There was an error but I don't remember the message exactly). I said Yes, Outlook opened but could't send/receive. I closed and opened again. This time, just the mouse point changed to waiting status for 5 seconds then stopped. No answer coming, no response coming. Pls show me the error and solution for that.     - Junk Mail Filter Problems I have a user who was orginally getting the message that the junk email filter was full. I had her delete some of the senders. Things seemed fine. We also set her jmf to no automatic filtering. Now it seems to be filtering good email into the junk folder. I've had her check her rules and none of them are causing the mail to go into the filter.     - Junk making it through filter I have a rule I created to deal with certain persistent spammers that works sometimes but not others. Occasionally a message comes through that should have been permanently deleted, and I'm not sure why. Here's the text of the rule: Apply this rule after the message arrives with 'prserv.net' or 'thechristianmedia.net' or 'faithhighway' or 'seekingthetruth.com'...or 'igcscommunications' or 'eglancesender' in the message header* and on this machine only permanently delete it except if sender is in CONTACTS address book stop processing more rules * the elipses is because I didn't want to list all 22 text strings I have in this rule Today, I received my second email from a spammer using EglanceSender as their mass mailer, and while others have been caught by this rule, today this one was not. I'm using Outlook 2007 on a Windows XP SP2 machine, and we are not using an Exchange server - the mail comes straight from our domain host (not our ISP - two different companies). I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. This is the only rule I have, and unless someone has a more elegant solution to catching the inordinate amount of spam I continue to receive, this is the best solution I could come up with.     - OL2007: recall mesagge failure notification arrive several hours l Hello, Can somebody explaing the reason for the following scenario: On 8/27/2008 at 8:55 user sends a message to five recipients. A couple of minutes later he decides to recall the messagE. He sends a recall at 8:56.Recall goes out of his mailbox as recorded by server logs and gets delivered to each recipient mailbox stores at 8:56 on 8/27/08. Next morning user that sent the recall message request receives 4 "Message Recall Failures". These messages were received on 8/28/2008 at 12:56 am,5:43 am, 9:04 am and 10:24 am. I used the message tracking center and indeed those message recall failures were sent by users at those times. Shouldn't the recall have succeed or fail immediately?     - Outlook Noises I run Outlook 2007 SP1, and I have suddenly had a very annoying problem. When I receive en e-mail, the sound that has played has switched from the usual "windows XP notify" noise to the obnoxious error beep from the PC speaker. In the sounds menu on the control panel, it is still set to play the usual noise, and the only solution I can find is to turn off the sound notificaiton altogether in Outlook. I really want it to play a sound when I receive an e-mail still, but I cannot get it to go back to the regular notification sound, even though that's what it is set to.     - To field in forms Hi, I needed to rename an AD mail list group but the form does not reflect the change. example changed group "Notify Helpdesk" to "NotifyHelpdesk" changed the group name field, alias, display name and simple display name fields. I also forced a download of the new address book. I see the change in the address book but not in the form. I also tried to design a new form and the old email value is still there and i can not select or see the new one. the only two other locations that have this value in the user properties are the X400 and CCMail email address values. does the form use these values? or where is the email in the form coming from. i hope this makes sense.     - Can't Open Links Outlook 2007 I have a user who is running Windows XP and using Outlook 2007. We recently uninstalled Firefox 3.0.1and re-installed ver 2.0.016 because of specific web pages not displaying correctly.     - Outlook 07 Rules not finding email by word in body while search do Hello, I am terribly frustrated while trying to organize my email using outlook rules. I create a simple rule - move email to specific folder by searching for specific words in the body. The word i am looking for is 'deadlock'. The email has just this in the body: ERROR_MESSAGE():Transaction (Process ID 53) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. When I search the folder in outlook (using the search box on top right) it is pickedup by the search no problem, however, running the rule does not find it. Some emails with this word are found, some are not while they are all found using the normal search. I have testing this on other machines, while recreating the rule again from scratch and the same problem. This is very frustrating and all i can think of, is that its a bug in outlook. Alos, all the emails are generated by the same erorr hanlder on a production server yet some are picked up by the rules some are not. I can include the raw message as well if this helps.     - Restore window size on open (Outlook 2007) I can't seem to get Outlook to open with a window size I prefer (anything other than maximized). I have followed the steps to set the window size, exit Outlook and the next time you start the program it should be the same size window. This is not true in my case, it's always maximized! Whenever I go to print an email that contains an attachment, it tries to open the attachent as well and print that. I do not want this to occur. I only want to print the body of the email. On my Outlook Tool Bar (with File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Actions, and
Help), 15 additional nonfunctional buttons have somehow added themselves.
They all say "Quickbooks". They don't do anything. They are just there.
How can I get rid of them? I'm using Outlook 2000.

You can either reset the toolbar (views, toolbars, customize) or delete the
outcmd.dat file. paste this line into the window's explorer Address bar to
open the folder where it is.
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
