Hi, for some reason one of my .pst folders has Inbox, Sent Items etc in it -
the others do not. Is there any way to remove these folders, as the delete is
grayed out, and I cant do it via VBA either.

That'll be the file that is set as the default mail delivery location. And
no, you can't get rid of them.

My default mail delivery location is my exhange folder, which has all special
folders as expected, and where my mail comes into the inbox. Not sure how
the .pst took them. Perhaps I set it as a defualt mail delivery location by
accident at some point and that created these folders.

If at any time a PST is made the delivery location, Outlook will precreate
the default folders and make them undeletable. Even if later the delivery
location is no longer the PST, you will not be able to delete them. A new
PST will not get those folders until its made the delivery location or until
you create them manually. I believe they're deletable if you create them
manually.

To get rid of them requires creating a new PST and moving all the folders
except for the ones you don't want to the new PST and then closing the old
PST.

Thanks for the confirmation Brian. I thought this might be the case, and
only resolution.

Kind regards

Paul
