    - Outlook connecting using Yahoo email I am trying to set up a second email account for MS Outlook 2007 and the first works fine but I cant get it to connet to my yahoo account. It gives a check mark for: Establish network connection Search for myemail@yahoo.com server settings Then it puts an X in front of: Log on to server and send a test email Then a box "Enter Network Password" pops up saying: Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com then asks for my user name and password, I click ok and it continues to reappear. At the same time My AOL Safety pops up and says: "SC0038 An error occured while processing the email with the subject: Unknown. Please check your connection to the Internet and resend the email."     - cannot send e-mail We have a wireless network at our home and have three ISPs. Starting yesterday no one can send e-mails from Outlook. We can receive them and get online just fine. It is not the ISP because we have different ones. If I log into the ISP I can send e-mail. I have rebooted the entire wireless network and that didn't help.     - Outlook 2007 & time zones Recently, I had to replace my notebook. That replacement took place just few hours from travelling abroad. I hadn't time to install nothing. On the destination country I configures the local time zone (GMT-3; Brasilia), instaled a trial version of Office 2007 Professional, configured my e-mail accounts, send and receive mails, create appointments in both local and home country (GMT; Lisbon) time zones. Everything worked like a charm. On arrival, at the Lisbon airport, I changed the time zone back to 'GMT; Lisbon', and started Outlook. CPU utilization rocketed to nearly 100% and Outlook become irresponsive. I performed a repair with SCANPST but the problem persisted. Them I tried to change the computer (running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit) time zone back to 'GMT-3; Brasilia' and the Outlook become responsive again, and CPU utilization backed to 'normal' values. After that, I changed time zone again to 'GMT; Lisbon' and be able to use Outlook normally. Until I stop it and start it again. So, every time I start Outlook, I have to change computer time zone do 'GMT-3; Brasilia', end then back to 'GMT; Lisbon'. Any idea? Tag: Outlook 2007 problem Tag: 576953

    - archiving problems I am using Outlook 2003 SP3 I am trying to delete old appointments in my calendar. This is what I have tried; File\Archive "Archive this folder and all subfolders:" is selected. The icon Calendar is highlighted. "Archive items older than [Wed 4/30/2008] "Include items with "Do not AutoArchive" checked" is checked. I press OK. I go back to my calendar and all items prior to 4/30/2008 are still there. I have also tried ""Archive all folders according to their AutoArchive settings" Settings in Calendar\Properties - AutoArchive Tab are as follows "Archive this folder using these settings" is selected "clean out items older than 1 Months" "Permanently delete old items" is selected.     - importing mail sub folders I realize now that import/export is a BAD idea, I belive I am doomed because of it. I exported my mail folders along with the sub folders to a file on 2.19,08 and 5.9.08 Unfortunately in process of doing something else my e-mails are gone. I have tried the avenue of opening .pst files with no luck. When I import the 2 files listed above all I get is the e-mails stored directly in the "inbox" and the sub folder file folders but nothing in them.     - MS Outlook 2007 and Outlook Express I recently bought MS Office 2007. I enjoy the GUI of Outlook 2007 and the search feature. I am concerned with my emails and backing them up. You see, I often backup with real ease my email directory in OE and this is great when transferring between my laptop and PC or just backing up my email in general. I just go the preselected directory and copy everything. No compatibility issues at all because OE is so old now. I have some questions regarding Outlook 2007 and OE. 1. I was wondering how difficult is to backup Outlook 2007's emails? 2. Is the file/folders/rules easily restored or imported by OE? What about duplicate email entries? When I first installed Outlook, it imported all my emal from OE. Since then, I am only using Outlook to search for older emails and I havne't updated or imported my email from OE. 3.     - Tasks in calendar I'm looking for a piece of software that helps me in "putting tasks in the calendar". I'm looking for a tool to use with or in Outlook that should allow you 1. to write the main task (the final one usually) of a job you are doing 2. then it asks you to draw the "chain of event" to get there, and the time required for each step. 3. it goes to the my calendar and "automatically" book some space in the agenda for these steps to be done. Simple, isnt'it? But....where is it???? It is not a problem of "views" (as Microsoft thinks). I mean, it is not putting somewhere on the screen together calendar and todos. It's a completely different approach. The only thing (I mean "THING") that goes in that direction is MSProject but it is like using a tank to go shopping. Using Outlook 2003 emails send to Comcast.net email addresses appear to send and are saved in my save file. They do not deliver to recipient's mailbox. It seems all other emails (aol, g mail) are working fine. If I go to the Verizon server and send message to Comcast.net emails they are received.     - Hyperlinks in Stationery from FrontPage look huge Hello, We have created a nice graphical email newsletter in FrontPage, saved it as a stationery, and then gone to Actions/New Mail Message Using... When I then create the email, the hyperlink areas are enormous (for example, if our text is 8pt, the hyperlinks look 10pt.) They also change color from a darker blue to a regular blue. We have tried and tried (I even tried it in Dreamweaver; it is NOT the editor's fault.)     - Outlook inbox doesn't see unread mail. Ever since i upgraded to Vista, my Outlook hasn't worked properly. I now have a new folder call "unread mail". I can only get my new emails there. If i view one there, and then close it without deleting it first, it's gone. GONE! not in the inbox, not in the deleted folder, gone. If i get an email that ends up in the junk folder, and i right click it to be moved to the inbox, it's GONE. not in the inbox, and now not in the junk folder either.     - Inbox view does not refresh when new mail is received. I am running Office 2007 on a Vista machine. When Outlook does a Send/Receive, the Inbox in the Navigation Pane bolds to show a new email is received but the Inbox View does not refresh. When I go to click on View, then Refresh, it is grayed out. I have to click on a different folder in the Navigation Pane then click on Inbox again to see the new email(s) received.     - Outlook 2007 - new Emails not showing up in inbox Incoming messages often do not show up in my inbox. This is sporadic and not related to emails from any specific email address. When it happens sometimes it is one email, sometimes it is a group from different sources. I keep my inbox in the view by date received with the most recent at the top. I finally figured out that if I click on another email from the same person and view all in the order "from" that email, the missing email shows up (But only in that view). Also if I click on unread mail, the missing emails show up (in that view). Once I open the email (if I find it), it shows up in my inbox.     - What happened to keyboard shortcuts? I upgraded to Outlook 2007 and all of the old familiar keyboard shortcuts have changed or are gone. (It is this way with Access 2007 also).     - How do I set a rule to move mail from inbox to a folder after reading Hi. Currently I have a bunch of folders sorted by sender, and incoming emails go directly into thier respective folders if I have a rule set for that sender. I now need messages to go to the inbox until I read them and then automatically be moved to their respective folder. The reason for this is that I have a new phone that only notifies me when new messages are in my inbox on the server, and I need to know when I get emails from certain people.
