    - Have Office/Word 2007, but Outlook 2003 for email. How to update I am trying to attach Word files to email messages. Receivers can't open resulting "zip" file.     - What's the point of CC now? I remember when I first started using e-mail, you could only put one e-mail address in the To: field. Now you are able to put as many e-mail addresses as you want in the To: field. So what is the point of "CC:", isn't this function kind of redundant? Or am I missing something?     - How do I delete "Personal Folders" in Outlook 2003? I have 8 perfectly operating accounts in Outlook 2003 (3 Gmail IMAP, 3 Hotmail HTTP and 2 POP/SMTP accounts). However. in my "All Mail Folders"I also have an additional and unused "Personal Folders" which I wish to delete. When I left click on it I get the error message: "The set of folders could not be opened". This error usually appears if the OST or PST file you are using is: Unavailable Protected with file permissions On a share on a server and the network is down Corrupt To correct this problem, store the OST or PST file on the local computer. You may also want to run the scanost.exe and scanpst.exe tools to verify file integrity. More information about this error message online. However, clicking on this latter hyperlink brings up, "Currently there are no Office Assistance articles available for this error message". The folders are not connected to any of my PST files so scanpst.exe has nothing to repair. Right clicking offers the option to Close "Personal Folders" which brings up the message: Create a new profile by double clicking the Maill Icon in control panel, clicking Show Profiles, and then clicking ADD. After creating the new profile, make it your default by selecting it, and then clicking Always use this profile.     - Messages on opening Outlook 2003 Recently I purchased a Vista based computer and use Office 2003. When I open Outlook 2003 I get two messages C:\Users\brucjam\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns\C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\OFFICE11\Addins\Outbak.dll.' is not a valid Office Add-in. C:\Users\brucjam\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns\C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office\SBCMSYNC.DLL' is not a valid Office Add-in. I click OK and enter the program, but have to go through this each time. I can not find these files to delete them. Any suggestions?     - Problem with New Distribution Lists We have a problem which has just started happening. We use Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003. After adding a new Distribution List to our system the list does not appear in the address book through Outlook. Every thing is correct in AD and if you preview the Global Address List on the exchange server the DL is there. We have tried renewing and rebuilding the catalogs through system manager on exchange but the DL is still missing. Outlook is not running in cached mode and have tried downloading a new version of the address book with any success. Does any body have any ideas, other people on other sites have had the same problem but no one seems to have found an answer.     - ofc 2003 outlook unable delete copied docs on new unsent emails i find that when i drag my cursor over all or part of a document that i had recently copied into a newly created e-mail document (outlook 2003/word 2003 email editor) and then decided i no longer wished to have that document contained in whole or part of that e-mail it correctly highlights all words that i dragged over, but when i hit the "delete " key on my keyboard to delete this highlighted and unwanted data, it does not delete...nothing happens. i further checked that i can place my cursor on the first character of any word and click and i can then start deleting char by char and that works ok.. but it is inefficient, especially when i want to delete what could be hundreds/thousands of words in succession. this had worked fine less than a few days ago. but something happened and i dont know what. i am using microsoft opffice 2003 with outlook 2003 e-mail and Word 2003 as the editor. i would appreciate it very much if someone could tell me how i can restore the old method of dragging the cursor over to highlight and then just hitting the keyboard "delete" key. fred@home Tag: Outlook 2003 Advanced Editor w/Word as Default Won't Open Word Tag: 577014

    - how do i import outlook 2000 to office 2007? My old computer with Windows 2000, amd Office 2000 crashed and died. I did have a backup to disc of my outlook 2000. I now have a new pc, with XP, and Office 2007. I am trying to transfer my contacts from the old file to the new. I don't know how.     - LDAP Directory I have a question about outlook 2003. I have it loaded and everything works fine but there is a box that pops up everytime I open outlook that I have to click ok on to get into my email. It is called the LDAP directory.     - How do I stop sending and recieving errors? When i open outlook i get asked to enter network password, when i enter correct password i then get error: Task 'pop3.blueyonder.co.uk-Sending and Recieving' reported error (0x800CCC92): 'Your e-mail server rejected your login.Verify your username and password in your account properties. Under tools, click E-mail accounts.     - Outlook connecting using Yahoo email I am trying to set up a second email account for MS Outlook 2007 and the first works fine but I cant get it to connet to my yahoo account.     - cannot send e-mail We have a wireless network at our home and have three ISPs. Starting yesterday no one can send e-mails from Outlook. We can receive them and get online just fine. It is not the ISP because we have different ones. If I log into the ISP I can send e-mail. I have rebooted the entire wireless network and that didn't help.     - Outlook 2007 & time zones Recently, I had to replace my notebook. That replacement took place just few hours from travelling abroad. I hadn't time to install nothing. On the destination country I configures the local time zone (GMT-3; Brasilia), instaled a trial version of Office 2007 Professional, configured my e-mail accounts, send and receive mails, create appointments in both local and home country (GMT; Lisbon) time zones. Everything worked like a charm. On arrival, at the Lisbon airport, I changed the time zone back to 'GMT; Lisbon', and started Outlook. CPU utilization rocketed to nearly 100% and Outlook become irresponsive. I performed a repair with SCANPST but the problem persisted. Them I tried to change the computer (running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit) time zone back to 'GMT-3; Brasilia' and the Outlook become responsive again, and CPU utilization backed to 'normal' values. After that, I changed time zone again to 'GMT; Lisbon' and be able to use Outlook normally. Until I stop it and start it again. So, every time I start Outlook, I have to change computer time zone do 'GMT-3; Brasilia', end then back to 'GMT; Lisbon'. Any idea?     - archiving problems I am using Outlook 2003 SP3 I am trying to delete old appointments in my calendar. This is what I have tried; File\Archive "Archive this folder and all subfolders:" is selected. The icon Calendar is highlighted. "Archive items older than [Wed 4/30/2008] "Include items with "Do not AutoArchive" checked" is checked. I press OK. I go back to my calendar and all items prior to 4/30/2008 are still there.     - importing mail sub folders I realize now that import/export is a BAD idea, I belive I am doomed because of it. I exported my mail folders along with the sub folders to a file on 2.19,08 and 5.9.08 Unfortunately in process of doing something else my e-mails are gone. I have tried the avenue of opening .pst files with no luck. When I import the 2 files listed above all I get is the e-mails stored directly in the "inbox" and the sub folder file folders but nothing in them.     - MS Outlook 2007 and Outlook Express I recently bought MS Office 2007. I enjoy the GUI of Outlook 2007 and the search feature. I am concerned with my emails and backing them up. You see, I often backup with real ease my email directory in OE and this is great when transferring between my laptop and PC or just backing up my email in general. When I first installed Outlook, it imported all my emal from OE. Since then, I am only using Outlook to search for older emails and I havne't updated or imported my email from OE. 3.     - Tasks in calendar I'm looking for a piece of software that helps me in "putting tasks in the calendar". I'm looking for a tool to use with or in Outlook that should allow you 1. to write the main task (the final one usually) of a job you are doing 2. then it asks you to draw the "chain of event" to get there, and the time required for each step. 3. it goes to the my calendar and "automatically" book some space in the agenda for these steps to be done. Simple, isnt'it? But....where is it???? It is not a problem of "views" (as Microsoft thinks). I mean, it is not putting somewhere on the screen together calendar and todos. It's a completely different approach. The only thing (I mean "THING") that goes in that direction is MSProject but it is like using a tank to go shopping.     - Hyperlinks in Stationery from FrontPage look huge Hello, We have created a nice graphical email newsletter in FrontPage, saved it as a stationery, and then gone to Actions/New Mail Message Using... When I then create the email, the hyperlink areas are enormous (for example, if our text is 8pt, the hyperlinks look 10pt.) They also change color from a darker blue to a regular blue. We have tried and tried (I even tried it in Dreamweaver; it is NOT the editor's fault.)     - "the file *.pst could not be accessed" version - outlook 2000, (9.0.0.2711). corporate or workgroup os - windows xp my outlook has frozen for the main profile we use, it is still working for my personal one. the main one is now 2.1Gb in size as i had not ever archived it, preferring to have everything available. however i have now discovered that 2Gb is the max size, and wonder if this is the problem? i have tried the 2Gb truncation tool, but this though it seems to run properly leaves the file size the same. i also ran the defrag on the part of the hard disk that we have compartmented for mail. any ideas would be most gratefully accepted. thanks in advance, malcolm dixon Tag: Outlook 2003 Advanced Editor w/Word as Default Won't Open Word Tag: 576875

When I click on Advanced Edit in signatures, Word does not open. I get a
message saying: "could not find an editor for H (.) files.

I checked my defaults and HTML format and MS Word as editor is selcted.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to get Word to open when using the
Advanced Edit feature for signatures in Outlook?
