    - 2 questions about Save My Settings Wizard First, I have heard that there is an .ini file you can use to customize what is backed up by the Save My Settings Wizard. If this is true, can I modify this .ini file to ONLY backup my Outlook email account settings? Second, if I can do # 1, is it possible to save this .ini file as a custom file and then run the settings wizard using my custom .ini file? If so, how?     - Outlook 2007 only "partially" closing at times Running Outlook 2007 SP1 in a hosted Exchange environment (host is still on 2003 server), on XP Pro SP2. Relatively new system. Lately, sometimes when I close Outlook, the Reminders window fails to close with it and I have to close it manually, and then when I later relaunch Outlook it fails to prompt me for the username and password and just opens my Profile and is online. Sometimes, it doesn't do this: it closes the Reminders window fine, and when later launching Outlook again it prompts me for the username and password -- like it's supposed to do and like it always used to do. If I go into Task Manager - Processes and choose OUTLOOK.EXE - End Process Tree, it will go back to proper behavior, but it won't last very long.     - 2003 server with 2007 client -- Categories won't work right? We use a hosted Exchange Server provider who still has us on 2003 server while we're runnning Outlook 2007 SP1 at the local clients. All is fine in general, of course, but we've been told by the hosting service that one of the main features of 2007 that won't work properly until they go to the 2007 server is Categories. This has just become a very important topic to us since we've learned that the best way to manage our Contacts is with Categories (and not Distribution Lists). How can I obtain a thorough and accurate picture of exactly what will be lacking if we begin to use Categories at this time: what will be lacking now, and what if anything will be lost or changed once the host does go to 2007 server?     - My Deleted Items folder has disappeared! As the subject says, my 'Deleted Items' folder has disappeared from my Mail folders display. Running O2007 in XPSP2. If I check the properties (folder size) of the personal folders, I can see that the folder exists and has data (105Mb!) in it.     - AutoCorrect Disappearing Using Windowx XP Pro with latest updates and Office 2007. I have entered AutoCorrect items into Outlook for replies to an email, and they keep disappearing when I start outlook again or reboot. This is very frustrating. Any ideas? Is it possible to enter AutoCorrect from the main menu instead of only when replying to a message? Reply is the only time you get the Office Button that has the proofing/autocorrect option. When you double click on an email to view it all, if you click X to delete, the next email is displayed in full screen.     - Emails not downloading This maky not be and Outlook problem, but I have tried everything else and am now clutching at straws. Have been using Outlook 2003 SP3 for a few years, have recently had the problem where my emails are not downloading from the Webmail server as it always had. My first point of call was my email provider, who have tested everything and all is fine. Contacted the ISP and they have washed there hand of it as it is an incoming email problem only and eveything internet related in working as normal. I do not get an error message - the send and receive attempts as normal but it downloads so slow that unless the emails are small (less than 20kb) they never get to me. So far I have deleted the email account and re-set it up. Run a detect and repair. I have tried downloading on another computer at a different location and had no problems.     - Text view jumps to top when composing email Outlook 2007 When I am composing an email the view often jumps to the top of the email text even though the cursor remains at the bottom. This means that if the text is very long I have to scroll down the page to continue to see what I am typing. I do not see that it is related to any particular keyboard entry. They all are connected to Exchange. When selecting a category for an appointment in a public calender, this category is only visible on this pc.     - Delete extra inbox I have Microsoft Outlook 2003 SP3. I had two web-based email accounts that I used Outlook to pull the email from. I have now closed one of the accounts. I would like to get rid of one of the inboxes, but the main one appears to have been connected to the account I closed. The option to close it is greyed out, the account I left open does give me the option to close it. I have deleted the profile to the closed account.     - Problems with Outlook 2003 Archive I'm having trouble with messages being archived to locations that I didn't expect, and would like some clarification on how archiving works within Outlook 2003. I was expecting that each PST file would have different default archive settings but it appears this isn't the case. Instead, it seems that the default settings apply to every folder unless explicitly overwritten. This is a problem for me because I typically keep several PST files open. What I'm finding is that all of the archives are being directed into a single PST file - undoing what I've been trying to achieve with the separate PST files. Since each folder would need to set up explicitly, it appears that the only logical workaround is to turn off auto archiving - at least until I no longer need multiple PST files loaded. another link located lower in the email will open up the proper webpage. If
I cut and paste the defective link into IE then the link works. Why is this
so haphazard?

Because there is an issue with the registration of your browser in Windows.
Reconfigure your browser as the default or resets it registration. See the
help of your browser and version of Windows on how to do that properly.
