Platform is Vista upgrade from XP. I was not using Outlook in XP.
Error message in Outlook start-up: "cannot open your default e-mail folders.
"Microsoft Office Outlook" exited without properly closing you Outlook data
file." Then give the file locataion which ends in "Outlook.nst""
Have been working on the problem for hours...HELP!

I believe you have an MSN account defined in Outlook and it's specifying
that file as its cache file. Use the Mail applet in Control Panel to remove
that account and then add it in again.
