I'm using OL 2007 and want to search all me messages, including the
archives.

Are the archives automatically searched? If not, how do I search the
acchives?

Thanks,

Dennis

Depends on your searching method and if your archives are connected to
Outlook. The default configuration means "yes" to your question.

I search for the messages by using the From, Body, To, etc. fields at the
top of the middle column. I click on the two down arrows to open the fields.

I archive by clicking when a dialogue box comes up and asks my if I want to
archive.

Regards,

Dennis

Right under the "Mail Folders" section (under Favorite Folders) you find the
search option "All Mail Items". Make sure you click that first. Click the
down arrow next to it to see which locations you'll be searching in.
