In Outlook 2003, can you tell me what I need to do to fix this? Unable to
send messages.

BRIAN: When I click on "NEW message", I receive the following error message
within Outlook 2003:

"The add-in C:Windows/system32/fxsext32.dll could not be installed or
loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect & Repair on the Help
menu." OK, I went to Help, clicked Detect & Repair, it did something, said
it was installed successfully, but I still get the error message. Thanks for
your help!

It is unlikely this error message arose "all by itself for no reason," which
is what you are suggesting. You would do well to provide the steps that were
used to create this problem. There is more to this story than you have told
us.

That's the Fax extension. Did you install any Fax add-in. Look in the
Add-In Manager or COM Add-ins to see if it's there. If not, try deleting
the (usually hidden) file
%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat
while Outlook is closed.
