    - cannot view contacts list creating a new mail I have upgraded outlook from 2003 to 2007. When I create an email and click on the "To..." button to select an address I get an empty list. I have tried to import the pst file and I have also tried to add the pst file in the data manager and I still cannot select from the contacts list. If I select "Contacts" I can see all of the contacts and contact folders I just cannot see them when I am creating a new email.     - Rules when using 2 mailboxes Outlook 2003 using Exchange Server Mailbox 1 - default acct Mailbox 2 - shared with multiple users I set up a rule that when a message arrives from a specific person to move it to a folder under mailbox 2. It runs correctly if the incoming message is addressed to Mailbox 1 but I need it to run only on Mailbox 2. How do I specific the rule should apply to Mailbox 2 and not the default Mailbox 1.     - Outllok not sending email- but trying in endless loop I am running OL 07/ XP on a Lenovo x61 Tablet and have all latest updates... I am having an issue sending. This seems to be random although it MAY be on mail I originate with multiple recipients (still testing). When I send, the message does not go and the send cycle continues to repeat rapidly (like 300 times or more a minute). Even with the send/ receive task box open it seems to be impossible to cancel. the only way to kill the process is to disable my interent connection and force-close outlook through Task Manager. I use NEO Pro with Outlook but this is happening even when NEO has not opened. This happened randomly (1 or 2 times a year) before and I have always simply killed the mail, erased the message, recreated and sent. That does not work this time.     - Cannot search .pst files with Outlook 2007 I am running MS XP SP2 with MS Office 2007 Professional. The issue that I have is that when I search through archive folders (attached .pst files in MS Outlook 2007), the search comes back with, "No Matches Found." When I do a "search all mail items," I have no issues searching and finding emails within my mailbox. This issue only exists for .pst files. I have tried the following items: (1) Made sure that rtf has RFT Fileter (and not plain text or null) in file types of advanced options within Indexing Options, (2) Made sure that pst is selected (with index properties and file contents selected) in file types of advanced options within Indexing Options, and (3) I have selected rebuild the re-index selected locations option within the indes xettings of the advanced options within Indexing Options.     - Outlook 2007 Tasks, Categories, Can I reate a new category & name I have a lot of tasks that I want to be able to group into "Projects" The closest thing I can find in Outlook is Categories, but these appear to only be ways to group the task by colors, and I don't seem to be able to add to them or rename them. i.e. Blue Categroy is pretty meaning meaningless.     - Delete messages out of the send task Hi all, we are sending mails using a outlook client on a server. In the past we occasionally received the error message â??Could not resolve the message recipientsâ??. I debug the code and find out that one of the recipients email address was not valid because the name part of the address was empty. I adjust our code for sending the mails to generate a name out of the SMTP-Address. But during debugging I used five times successfully the command mail.send. Because I used existing email addresses to find this bug and itâ??s not allowed to send this messages to the customer. I disconnect the server from the network and outlook try to send this messages.     - Sudden loss of folder and e-mails!?! Hi everyone! This morning when starting up Microsoft Outlook 2007 (running Vista) I suddenly noticed that one of my folders was suddenly gone (including all mails in it). The folder had to do with one of my email accounts and was created by using the New Folder in the Archive menu and then set up a rule that forwarded every email to that account into that folder... I've tried to search for a .pst-file without success and the folder in question has not jumped in under another folder (so looking for plus signs is out of question)! I can't find it in Junk Mail or in any other folder! I also tried doing a System Restore as I thought it might had to do with some recent updates by Windows, but also without luck. I vaguely remember a pop up showing up yesterday telling me that the rules I had set up for this particular folder isn't working but in all the hurry I just clicked the Escape button and ignored it... Could this have something to do with it? I really had some important messages in that folder so any help on the way to restoring that folder and emails would be appreciated!!     - Added e-mail account doesn't work I work in outlook 2003 and have my personal account. But I am also responsible of managing another "Team account". I have added this account through: Tools, E-mail accounts, View or change, change, more settings, advance, add, apply, ok, finish. The mailbox appears in my "All mail folder" in my personal account, and when I open up outlook for the first time the Team account has a "plus" (indicating subfolders) but when I doubleclick it it disappears. The mailbox opens but indicates that there are no items to show, I am not able to send or receive mails nor see the correct view (my collegue has access to the same mailbox and there are mails in the inbox etc).     - Searching psts not working Hi, I have an Outlook 2007 client installed on Vista Business connected to MS Exchange 2003. Outlook is configured to move all mail older than 1 year to an archive.pst file residing on a mapped net drive on a weekly basis. When you search for emails in Outlook the emails in the archive.pst file are not picked up. I have proved this by searching the subject line of an email that is in the archive.pst file and NOT in the exchange mailbox and 0 results are returned. Outlook's search settings have tick boxes for both the Mailbox - User store and the Archive.pst store. Indexing in Control Panel has been configured to index psts (bear in mind the pst file resides on a network drive - is this my problem?). Now I have read up a bit on this, but maybe not enough. Anyway, it shouldn't be this hard. I remembered a.) rebuilding the indexes and b.) removing the check boxes for Archive.pst in Outlook and psts in Indexing, restarting, setting these back to "on", restarting, opening Outlook. This hasn't helped. I think it did work for a wee while, but it soon fell over again. So, from what I gather is that this search engine is pretty much useless. MS should be ashamed, basically. Is that unfair? Is there something I have failed to do or understand? I have ever so recently discovered KB 918996. Is this my problem? It is just that I would have thought that Outlook knows to index this pst store and knows where it is. Configuring index locations, then file types, then software clients is a bit tedious in my opinion, but I guess it's a "work in progress" and I shouldn't be such a whinge. I haven't changed any settings etc recently - the only thing I can think of is I downloaded Mozilla lately. I dont have an LCD screen so Cleartype didn't help me. Outlook on my home computer. The old email folders were related to an email
address that is no longer valid, but they seem to have automatically
connected to my gmail that I already had on my home computer. Now incoming
mail goes to about 4 different Inboxes and I can no longer send email from
anywhere in Outlook. Anything I compose goes to an Outbox and there doesn't
seem to be any way to send from there. Any advice? Thanks
