    - Outlook Repetitive Email I work on a helpdesk and have over 40 standard emails set up as replies to client enquiries. I'm moving over from Eudora to Outlook 2007 and would like to know the best way to set these up in Outlook. Only a few items in the email would need to be amended such as the salutation and a couple of other blanks. I've had a look and thought the best way would be to set the up as signatures but a 'Training Expert' has told me to use Stationery but I can't see how this would work.     - Outlook.pst repair failure (Originally posted on microsoft.public.outlook.General but no responses there) I've hit problems with my outlook.pst. Last week I traced the Inbox Repair Tool and successfully repaired it. A few days later it again showed error messages (Could not open the folders [for] email messages, etc) but now (and I've tried several times) the Inbox Repair Tool itself reports an Error (at stage 4, or was it 5, of 8). I've created a new set of Personal Folders so am able to use Outlook (2000), but I'm desperate to access all my past emails, my tasks and contacts.     - SCANPST.EXE Fails to Start - Missing OLMAPI32.DLL I can't get the scanpst.exe utility to run on two different systems, both with Office 2007. The exact error I get is: SCANPST.EXE - Unable To Locate Component; This application has failed to start because OLMAPI32.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. I have run the Office 2007 Repair facility and when it still wouldn't work, I reinstalled Office 2007. I also tried to run SCANPST.EXE on another computer and I keep getting the same error.     - Built-in Junk Filters not working I asked about this a few weeks ago and got no response, but the problem has cropped up again and so I'll try asking the question again: I have a recurring problem where the built-in junk email filter in Outlook just stops working. This is the filter that requires no setup by the user and filters out the obvious junk (though I think you can set the level to low, medium, or high or something like that). Occasionally, it stops working and all the junk email about debt relief, male enlargement, etc., etc., etc., just starts landing in my Inbox instead of the Junk EMail folder. In each case, I've made no configuration changes to Outlook. It just starts happening. What I've found is that within two or three days the filters start working again and most junk email starts going back into the Junk EMail folder. Again, with no changes by me. I theorized last time that an auto-update from MS was causing this. I can't say that for sure, but it started happening again this morning and overnight there was an update that required a reboot of my computer. I came in this morning and it was sitting at the login and after I logged in it gave me the "your computer has been updated" message. Just so you know, Outlook was not running when this reboot occurred. This is an irritating problem and I'm wondering if anyone has seen this and perhaps knows how to prevent it. Thanks.     - Assign Mail Account to Use for Certain Recipients I use Outlook 2002 and have two mail accounts that transfer their messages to Outlook via pop3. I have my gmail account set up as my default account to use for new messages but I don't like the way gmail handles messages I post to mail lists. Gmail will not pop3 messages I post to the list server back to Outlook when the list distributes them to all subscribers. Gmail treats my list-distributed messages as being copies of my original sent post and will not transfer it via pop3. I want to use my ISP mail account for purposes of any mail lists to which I subscribe. If I do so, I won't to know if I can assign that ISP mail account to be used whenever I send messages to those list addresses. Since gmail is my default pop3 mail account, I'm afraid I will forget to select my ISP mail account to use when posting to mail lists.     - Problem with signature and multiple accounts Hello I have Outlook as part of Office 2003 I have multiple email addresses (accounts) so when Outlook goes on line, it checks three servers I wanted to create a signature for the third account The problem is that when I click on new message, it is always the first account that comes up (without the signature of course) I then tell Outlook to send the message via the third account but of course, the email is already open and the signature does not appear. I should explain that Outlook is using Word 2003 to type emails (but the option is apparently available still) What do I have to do to get Outlook to add the signature when I toggle accounts?     - Outlook freezes when I hit send/receive I'm running Outlook 2002 SP3 on a POP3 dsl account. It has worked perfectly for 3 years now as of a couple days ago every time I hit send/receive Outlook freezes. I have spoken to my ISP and confirmed all settings are correct. Internet access is not a problem, just email. I've downloaded all Windows updates. When I test account settings under tools/email accounts it seems to work fine but as soon as the test message arrives in my inbox Outlook freezes. Same thing when I compose a message. The only way to get out is ctrl-alt-delete and then close and re-open. I'm also running up to date Norton Internet Security, I briefly tried turning off email scanning but that didn't help.     - Outlook 2003...SEND problem...does not send the 1st time I have the following problem all the time,..I go to send email and it gives me a time out error. I then press send again right after the error message and it sends the email immediately. This is really annoying because I have to wait for the timeout every time I send email.     - Currently selected signature disappearing Hi everyone, I have a very strange problem and I have no idea how to Google this. I am a network administrator. Our network is Win2K3 and WinXP. One of my servers is a terminal server running in application mode with a 5-user license. We use this with some Wyse thin-clients as well as for remote access. We are using Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003 for email. My users all have roaming profiles. They can login on any machine and their desktop, settings, email and files follow them around. This works perfectly. However if I do the following: 1) Log into a Windows XP workstation. 2) Go into Outlook and set the signature to use under "Tools > Options > Mail Format" in Outlook. 3) Log off the Windows XP workstation. 4) Log onto the terminal server (using either thin-client or Remote Destkop) 5) Logoff the terminal server 6) Log back onto their XP workstation the signature is no longer applied to new emails. The signature is not lost. The user just needs to go into "Tools > Options > Mail Format" and select their signature again. However this is very weird behavior and more then a little annoying when users regularly switch between their workstation and the terminal server. Does anyone have any idea where Outlook stores the setting that says which signature is to be used? Why would this setting be getting overwritten or "forgotten" when logging off the terminal server?     - Digital Certificate problems with Outlook 2003 Hi everyone, I have been facing a weird problem with some verisign certificates in outlook 2003. The problem goes like this. I configure a certificate which is able to sign and ecncrypt e-mail. I´m able to sign mail with this certificate. The receiving party is able to read the signed mail and even able to reply with an encrypted mail to te original sender. However, once the original sender receives the encrypted mail Outlook displays an error indicating that the underlying criptography platform is unable to find the name of the digintal ID (the error is not exactly that 'cause I'm translating it from other languague but it goes about very simmilar to that) Does anyone have a clue of why this might be happening?     - Can I Display Winodws File Folder Contents in Outlook? OL2007/Exchange: I have found how to set a particular outlook folder to display a website by seleting the home page tab under properties. Is there a way to have this display the contents of a windows file folder instead of an html file? I've thought of perhaps making an html file with links to the contents of the folder and displaying that html file.     - IMap and Outlook 2003 I'm running Outlook 2003 under Windows XP XP3. I have several accounts, including two IMAP accounts. This thing is just plain not working. I mean its not working so bad that something has to be broken. On startup, the hour glass never goes away, even after a few hours. I get assorted weird messages like "reestablishing hierarchy" that, again hang around for hours. I've wiped out the profile and restarted a few times, and I am getting the impression that the program has a problem with IMAP, and a big problem with two IMAP accounts.     - Outlook 2003 is crippled - I can not create a rule. I can not create any new rules. The menu option is not there. The program frequently freezes and I have to close it from the Task Manager.
