My search in Outlook 2007 doesn't even find a keyword or contact that I can
see in the inbox.

Could this be something to do with opening a new personal folder (brought in
from another PC). How do I set it to search the correct Personal Folders?

Have you told Search to index the pst file? (It won't if it's in a
non-standard location...)

I don't know.

I haven't worked out what desktop search is - you would have to have a messy
desktop to need a programme to search it?
