Am trying to install Outlook 2003 on a machine brought home from work. Once
I launch after installation, it automatically attempts to migrate account
settings, then displays an error message that reads as follows:

"Failed to register a VB Script DLL. Reinstall or run Regsvr32.exe
Vbscript.dll to self register. The form cache file 'C:\Documents and
Settings\Robin Martinez\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\FORMS\FRMCACHE.DAT' is not valid. Contact your
administrator."

A dialog box then indicates the operation fails and Outlook terminates. Any
thoughts on what I need to do to fix this? We tried to install this
particular machine at work, and something went awry in trying to set up
Outlook 2007 on it. 2007 was subsequently uninstalled.

Empty your Forms folder to reset the forms cache.
Anyway, wouldn't you rather fix your Office 2007 installation issue?

Absolutely, but lost the 2007 disc somewhere between home and work, so am
SOL as far as that goes ... had uninstalled 2007 at work when we couldn't
get it to work.

You can contact Microsoft for ordering a replacement disc set. Surely you
still have your license information and proof of purchase?
