    - I can't get my <Marquee>-based animated signature to work Hi Gang, I modified someone else's animated signature. I have no idea what e- mail program they created it in, but it works great when he sends to me, but the copy I've manipulated for my own use won't work at all in outlook (very frustrating). Can someone tell me what changes I need to make to get this to work? Perhaps removing all styles or something?     - Language problem Hello, I was helping a friend on her Win XP home, outlook express mail. She tells me she brings up her email (outlook express 6) and then clicks on a button and she is able to type the email in German. She also mentioned that four of her keys on the keyboard {:"? change into German characters, the umlaut being one. I simply moved her icon from the top of the screen to the bottom. I did not delete anything except for a solitaire game. She says her button is missing and she can't write her sister in Germany. I went back over, checked her outlook express, the encoding has lots of languages, but not German, I checked the Office file and reloaded the language portion but did not see anywhere to create a short cut as she previously had.     - Outlook 2003 ..multiple instances in the task manager Very often i find that Outlook is running with mulitple instances. and so i have actually have 3 little notificaiton envelopes in the right hand corner of my desktop, telling me i have new mail. THis is an indicator as well as my not being able to get mail for a second group of email accounts that i send/recieve from periodically. Typically when this happens, i also get an error message when i start up that says my outlook file did not close properly and needs to be checked. I have run scanpst.exe and check and repair and everything seems to be okay. I'm not sure if this is an ADD -IN problem, a problem because i use SHAREO, or Snype or some other sync program for my pda (intellisync) We have the ssame problem on another system same configuration but no Snype and no intellsync, only the microsoft active sync program.     - Pasteing Word document into Outlook gives extra lineshifts Hi guys, This seems to be an oldie but I havent really found a satisfied solution to this phenomena so I am trying again. When I paste from Word into Outlook I get double line shifts, I am not using word as the default editor. I am using HTML format as standard in the mail editor. I also see that when I start a new mail the Format->Style is set to Normal. After pasting the word text its automaticly set to "Paragraph" (I am norwegian and using the norwegian version so I am not sure what it sais in English but its the last option, buttom selection, on the Style list) What is funny though is that a friend is doing the same thing and he in his Outlook he does not get double line shift. He maintain the formatting from the word. We have compared the settings in Outlook but have not found any differencies. Anyone here know a good permanent solution ? I know I can copy the text through notepad to get rid of the formatting and I know I can change to rich text or text instead of HTML but that is not satisfacory for me.     - Outlook 2007 Spell Check issue I am wondering if anyone else is having issueswith Outlook 2007 spell check? I have Outlook 2007 setup with an exchange account and two POP accounts. Everthing works exactly like it should except the spell check feature. Spell check is set correctly to prompt to change missed words (those underlined in red) before sending out emails. This only works correctly for the exchange account. If you mis-spell a word using the POP accounts it will be underlined in red pointing out that it is misspelled but I am never prompted to change it, the email just sends right out.     - Cached outlook recipient Hello We have a user with e-mail (exchange 2k3). We made a new user for him and added the primary SMTP-address of his old user as an alias to his new user. The problem is that many users have his email cached in Outlook, so when they start typing his name in the TO-field his name pops up and they select it. That mail is then delivered to his old account and not to his new one. If they look him up in the address list it's delivered to his new users.     - But you have to manual enter the information i.e. name and phone number for the task. Unless I'm missing something. In Goldmine I can schedule a phone call, appointment or task and it's linked to the contact and shows up on my calendar. I click on any of these it takes me to the contact. and in the case of the phone message it dials the number. If I complete a one of these I have a tick box that I can use to generate a follow up. We plan to change our mail provider and use a hosted Exchange environment for our emails. For testing purposes, I signed-up with our desired provider.     - Send button no longer on Message ribbon after reinstall I recently had to reinstalling Office 2007 Professional RTM after the secondary (i.e. non-boot) hard drive suffered partial MFT corruption. I was able to uninstall Office 2007 successfully before fixing the drive and reinstalling the same version of Office from the same source discs. After reinstalling, I noticed that the Send button no longer appears on the Message ribbon like it used to. It used to be located where the Clipboard in now located on the Message ribbon. Now it only appears in the message itself, next to "To", "Cc", and "Bcc". After searching the discussion groups and the regular Office support site, I am unable to find a way to get this functionality back... nor am I able to find an explaination of why it disappeared. I was able to find some mention of changes to this functionality around the Beta 2 timeframe, but these installs were both of the RTM version. The only difference that I know of between the installs is this: The first install include Business Contact Manager.     - Outlook 2000: Outgoing mails never appear in Sent Items folder All, Here's one I haven't seen before: I have a client with Outlook 2000 (Yes, I know...), and starting about 3 months ago, email messages they have sent out don't appear in the Sent Items folder after they go out. The messages are indeed going out correctly, but that Sent Items folder remains totally empty. The folder size is about 2 kilobytes, and it is not increasing in size as new messages go out.     - How do I move folder up and down? I am using the MS Outlook. In the Mail Folders, I have whole bunch of sub folders. They are all arranged by alphabetical order.     - Dissapearring Text and Sig When I Change Account When I compose a new message under Outlook 2007 SP1, and then change the Account I am sending it from, the entire message disappears, where Outlook is apparently under the impression that my message is a signature.     - Reminder Time vs Due By Field I'm using O2003. For a contact, there is the Due by Field. There is also a Reminder Time field. If you update the Due By field, it updates the Reminder Time field. However, if you update the Reminder Time field, it does not update the Due By field. By default for a contact, you have access to the Due By field. The Reminder field is avaialble, but you have to manually add it. In Tasks, it seems to work the same in that if you update the Due By field, it updates the Reminder Time field. However, if you update the Reminder Time field, it does not update the Due By field. However, you have access to the Reminder field and not the Due By field unless you add it.     - e-mails never arrive It's happened now a couple of times. People send me e-mails that I never get. The person phones me and says, "Did you get my e-mail?" My answer is "No." "OK, then I will resend it," they say. "When you get it give me a call." An hour later I call and say, "Uh, I didn't get it.Why don't you read me the e-mail address you have for me." After confirming that the e-mail address they are using is correct, I say, "Why don't you delete my e-mail address, reenter it, and then send me another e-mail." Thirty minutes later I call and say, "Uh, I didn't get it." This has happened to me twice in the last month, each time on a different computer. Can anyone help me resolve this anomaly? There is no entend.dat but there is an extend.dat. Rename your file to =
.old and Outlook will build a new correct one when you reopen it. =
(Rename with Outlook closed, of course)
