    - Outlook 2003 ..multiple instances in the task manager Very often i find that Outlook is running with mulitple instances. and so i have actually have 3 little notificaiton envelopes in the right hand corner of my desktop, telling me i have new mail. THis is an indicator as well as my not being able to get mail for a second group of email accounts that i send/recieve from periodically. Typically when this happens, i also get an error message when i start up that says my outlook file did not close properly and needs to be checked. I have run scanpst.exe and check and repair and everything seems to be okay. I'm not sure if this is an ADD -IN problem, a problem because i use SHAREO, or Snype or some other sync program for my pda (intellisync) We have the ssame problem on another system same configuration but no Snype and no intellsync, only the microsoft active sync program.     - Pasteing Word document into Outlook gives extra lineshifts Hi guys, This seems to be an oldie but I havent really found a satisfied solution to this phenomena so I am trying again. When I paste from Word into Outlook I get double line shifts, I am not using word as the default editor. I am using HTML format as standard in the mail editor. I also see that when I start a new mail the Format->Style is set to Normal. After pasting the word text its automaticly set to "Paragraph" (I am norwegian and using the norwegian version so I am not sure what it sais in English but its the last option, buttom selection, on the Style list) What is funny though is that a friend is doing the same thing and he in his Outlook he does not get double line shift. He maintain the formatting from the word. We have compared the settings in Outlook but have not found any differencies. Anyone here know a good permanent solution ? I know I can copy the text through notepad to get rid of the formatting and I know I can change to rich text or text instead of HTML but that is not satisfacory for me. I am looking for a switch or settings in either outlook or word to remain the format/style when pasting from word. Any clue ???     - Outlook 2007 Spell Check issue I am wondering if anyone else is having issueswith Outlook 2007 spell check? I have Outlook 2007 setup with an exchange account and two POP accounts. Everthing works exactly like it should except the spell check feature. Spell check is set correctly to prompt to change missed words (those underlined in red) before sending out emails. This only works correctly for the exchange account. If you mis-spell a word using the POP accounts it will be underlined in red pointing out that it is misspelled but I am never prompted to change it, the email just sends right out.     - Cached outlook recipient Hello We have a user with e-mail (exchange 2k3). We made a new user for him and added the primary SMTP-address of his old user as an alias to his new user. The problem is that many users have his email cached in Outlook, so when they start typing his name in the TO-field his name pops up and they select it. That mail is then delivered to his old account and not to his new one. If they look him up in the address list it's delivered to his new users. His old user is disabled and hidden from exchange address list. Any suggestions on how to fix this?     - Problem replying email A user when replying emails (from MS Outlook 2003) to some of the internet users, it always undelivered and bounce back (refer to below for the errors).     - But you have to manual enter the information i.e. name and phone number for the task. Unless I'm missing something. In Goldmine I can schedule a phone call, appointment or task and it's linked to the contact and shows up on my calendar. I click on any of these it takes me to the contact. and in the case of the phone message it dials the number. If I complete a one of these I have a tick box that I can use to generate a follow up. We plan to change our mail provider and use a hosted Exchange environment for our emails. For testing purposes, I signed-up with our desired provider. Everything works fine except saving the passwords in Outlook for the mailbox. I am asked for the password all the time.     - OPEN DIALOG BOX ERROR In Outlook 2007 - it will not allow me to create a new mail message. An error message comes up that states "A dialog box is open. Please close it and try again."     - Send button no longer on Message ribbon after reinstall I recently had to reinstalling Office 2007 Professional RTM after the secondary (i.e. non-boot) hard drive suffered partial MFT corruption. I was able to uninstall Office 2007 successfully before fixing the drive and reinstalling the same version of Office from the same source discs. After reinstalling, I noticed that the Send button no longer appears on the Message ribbon like it used to. It used to be located where the Clipboard in now located on the Message ribbon. Now it only appears in the message itself, next to "To", "Cc", and "Bcc". After searching the discussion groups and the regular Office support site, I am unable to find a way to get this functionality back... nor am I able to find an explaination of why it disappeared. I was able to find some mention of changes to this functionality around the Beta 2 timeframe, but these installs were both of the RTM version. The only difference that I know of between the installs is this: The first install include Business Contact Manager. Because I never used BCM, I decided not to install it when I performed the reinstall. I would appreciate any help in understanding this issue. When I setup the Mail Profiles, it creates a PST file each time (good) i.e.. outlook.pst, outlook1.pst, outlook2.pst. I just switched from OE to Outlook and find that although screen view shows details of the attachments to sent emails these dont show when I print out the emails. In other words, I am having to handwrite on print out of sent email "attached ..........".     - Outlook 2000: Outgoing mails never appear in Sent Items folder All, Here's one I haven't seen before: I have a client with Outlook 2000 (Yes, I know...), and starting about 3 months ago, email messages they have sent out don't appear in the Sent Items folder after they go out. The messages are indeed going out correctly, but that Sent Items folder remains totally empty. The folder size is about 2 kilobytes, and it is not increasing in size as new messages go out. It really looks empty to me. Autoarchive is turned off for this folder. I've run scanpst.exe and it found no errors in the mailstore file.     - Outlook 2003 I had a password protect on my mail. When you opened outlook, it asked for a password. Something must have happened, but now it doesn't ask for a password and goes directly into my mail. I need this password as others use this computer and e-mails are highly sensitive.     - How do I move folder up and down? I am using the MS Outlook. In the Mail Folders, I have whole bunch of sub folders. They are all arranged by alphabetical order.     - RPCoHTTPS configured Outlook hangs when "password expiring" notice begins. Does anyone have a useable workaround which does not include "turn off the password expiration notice" for dealing with how Outlook using RPCoHTTPS essentially hangs and never connects to Exchange if your password is nearing expiration or has expired? I used to have trial of Outlook 2007. I saved my .pst onto my computer and
now I want to use either Outlook 2000 or Windows Mail. Unfortunately I have
not found a way to import the .pst file from Outlook 2007 into either of
these programs. Any help would be very welcomed.

You can't. The only way you can accomplish that is to use Outlook 2007 to
create a PST file in the older format (Outlook 97-2002). You can then open
that file in Outlook 2000. No program but Outlook can use PST files.

The outlook 2007 data file is not compatible with versions of OL earlier
than 2003
OL & Mail have to be both set up on the same PC before, in Mail you can
import your msgs
Also Outlook2k is not compatible with Vista, allthough I believe there are
some workarounds
