Send and Recieve Fix
For a long time I had a problem with my Send/Recieve function in Outlook.
This happended in both Outlook 2000 and my current version - 2007.
I found I had to re-boot my computer to perform a Send/Recieve in Outlook.
Otherwise the sequence would start then stop and say it could not perform
due to an error.
After extensive Internet and News Group research I decided it was time to
run a check on disk errors.
This Windows XP facility seemed to have fixed my Outlook problem.
I did this about a few months ago now and I have since had no problems with
my send and recieve.
Unfortunately I do have another issue with Outlook which I would mention in
another post.
I hope this may be of help to anyone with a similar issue.

View Filters Problem
I would like to view a task list, but filter out TWO different task
names. I have edited the view, gone to filter and added the criteria
"doesn't contain" "XXXX". This works, but if I add another line with
the same field with a different criteria, it applies no filter at
all. I would assume it would display only those tasks that do not
contain the first criteria, OR, the second criteria. Pretty basic
filtering.
Am I missing something? I see that I can edit the SQL filtering and
change the OR to AND, but this does not seem to work. Anyone have any
help?

Outlook 2003 sending old out of office message with Exchange 2007 SP1
We are running Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2007 SP1
We have run into an issue with some users (not all) when they attempt
to set up their out of office response using Outlook 2003. If a user
sets up his message and saves it, it looks correct. However, after 10
or 15 minutes it reverts back to the previous message they had in
there.
If they happen to use OWA 2007 to set up the out of office message, it
keeps it and everyting works fine?
I have seen a few really old posts about this with no resolutions.
Any ideas?

Bluescree; how to identify which driver is faulty from dup and the other logged info?
Platform: Windows Vista

Few weeks ago I began to experience Blue Screen whenever I use Outlook 2003.
Here is what I get

So, it looks like the classic situation when a problem in a software driver
is interpreted by Windows as an hardware problem (0xA). The point is: which
driver? The dump file gave me no info. Hard to read, by the way. Nor the
sysdata.xml and version.txt provided me with info about which was the fault
driver. Any hint? I can troubleshoot by myself but I need help to identify
the driver to uninstall.

Slow Performing Outlook 2007 and BCM
Hi all,
I just recently upgraded a number of PCs from OL2003 (connecting to
Exchange - not cached mode) to Outlook 2007 w/ Business Contact Manager
(oviously cached mode as this is required).
The BCM database is on a shared PC using the BCM database tool.
I had experimented with one PC taking it off the cached mode and it had made
things speedy again, but I can't keep it like that due to the need for BCM.
Any clue what is going on here? Is it cached mode or BCM causing the issue?
The speed issues range from starting an email reply and having to wait for
what you type to catch up, to slow response if you click on another folder
in your mailbox. It's just hurting the Outlook 2007 experience because
performance is horrible. Please help!

Message Stuck in Outbox to Only One Particular Email Address
Hi:
I have Outlook 2007 and have been using it for about 2 months or so. I have
encountered a problem with sending emails. I have sent emails to a
particular email address (WinTips-Tricks@yahoogroups.com ) and the emails
get stuck in the outbox. The CPU usage is very high (about 76%) and the
taskbar icon flashes furiously. If I look in the outbox, the email is also
doing a staccato flash. At the bottom of Outlook the send says complete,
yet the flashing taskbar icon, and flashing email in the outbox remain.
After awhile (about 2-3 minutes) this stops, but the email remains in the
outbox. These actions occur only when sending to this one address. I have
submitted a test email to myself and the email is sent normally.
Thanks for your responses.

Is there a way to configure an Outlook 2003 rule to forward email
I have received this request from a user:
Hello,
I've been asked to set up an alerts system that will warn me, and a
few other people in the legal team on an on-going basis if there are
emails in the Project 7 mailbox that are un-read and older than two
days.
I've had a quick look to see if this is something that I could do via
alerts or rules, but couldn't figure this out.
I wondered whether this was something that was possible to do?
As far as I'm aware rule processing happens immediately after the mail
arrives in the mailbox, but I thought I would double check before
telling the user no.
