distinguising serif & sans-serif fonts

When having a written document and choosing the font it'd be a great feature
to quickly select if one only wishes to see serif fonts or sans-serif fonts,
instead of always being shown all the fonts and having to scan manually
between either of the two categories.

There are font managers around that will identify font types.
This appears to be free
