Did yoy get it with your computer or was it a separate retail purchase?

You could have made a backup CD copy before this happened. Surely this
falls under the "Fair Use Doctrine". MSFT software usually says "do not
make illegal copies of this disk" but a backup copy kept in a safe place for
such an eventuality would not be considered illegal.

If you were a registered system builder you would go to
http://oem.microsoft.com and request replacement media, assuming that Office
2003 CDs were still in stock. If you got this software as part of an OEM
system bundle, you could contact the computer manufacturer or reseller who
sold it to you. If you bought this as a retail package you could contact
the retailer, who would then contact Microsoft for replacement media.

"For End Users they need to contact their System Builder for support.
However, if they are unable to obtain support from their System Builder,
there will be E-2-E Media Replacement support only at a minimal charge. The
End User would access the End User Replacement Form via the below link:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;326246 "

In principle you are entitled to replacement media at reasonable charge, but
finding precisely where to apply for this benefit can be a chore. Again,
successful replacement depends on availability of the product.

I always make an .iso image of my program discs and keep them on my
harddrive for backup purposes. Whenever I want to install something like
Office, I use DAEMON tools to mount it as a virtual CD, or DVD drive.

Works like a charm.

Regards.

Nero also has a neat little option to create a virtual drive to mount =
images... too bad it doesn't install on Windows Vista.
