Text flow

Is there a way of linking text boxes in Powerpoint? Is there a way
of filling a complex shape with text? Hand adjusting spacings and
moving words between boxes gets to be a time-consuming pain. What I
really want to do is to float an image in the middle of a block of
text and get the text to flow past the image (like I can using
HTML). Can I do this with Powerpoint or do I need Publisher?

Hi Chris,

You may want to use the link below to also post in the Powerpoint discussion group and include there the version of Powerpoint
you're using and explain a bit more in detail what you're trying to achieve and your definition, for example of a 'complex shape' :)

Thanks - one reason for posting here was that I really wondered if
Powerpoint was the right tool to use in the first place.

'complex shape' meant a multi-sided closed figure where all sides
were straight lines parallel to either the side or the top of the
page, by the way! Although it would also be interesting if the shape
were, for example, a circle. The complex shape in Ppt doesn't allow
text to be pasted into it, unlike some other shapes.
