For some reason it does not show recently opened files or how they called in
office i dont even have button for it under "File" menu.

For as long i remember i have changed something in windows that it stopped
to mentain history e.g. when you open Start>Run and type C:\ it suggest list
of folders e.g. C:\Program Files, in my case it suggests nothing, i remember
i changed some setting somewhere i think in Internet Explorer to not keep
history, is it related to windows history too?

Why not post the answer to this newsgroup, rather than giving a link to a
web forum that probably leeches the posts here anyway?

Because I don't get paid to answer questions; therefore, I answer them the
way I like... If you paid me, I will be glad to answer in any forum of your
choice.

Does that answer your question or will I need to make a drawing explaining it?

Hi Robert,

How you choose to answer is up to you, however, on your website it appears that you are also taking messages posted by others and
then putting your name on what they wrote but putting your name as the 'author' to what they wrote, not just your answer.

Nice job on the Ribbon-X book by the way :)

If it is Office 2007, you will find it under Office Button --> Applicatioin
Options --> Advanced --> Display.

If it Office 97-2003, look at Tools --> Options --> General

Bob

I posted directly, 'cos I did not want to leech... but, I've given a second
thought about it. It was a bad move to cross-post this way.

And, yes, courtesy pays dividends, as well as admitting and recognizing a
mistake. ;-)

Gordon

Accept my apologies... I got home in a foul mood last night (my time) and if
a beautiful girl called me handsome I'd probably snap at her...

The answer I gave was intentional but without thought. So, I hope you will
accept my sincere apologies for taking it on you.
