    - Disable startup/Exit dialogs Hello, I am developing a program to convert files to PDF using PostScript printer and GhostScript. This program requires application to copy file to the server in a particular directory. I wrote a program to watch this directory and print this file to PostScript printer using Windows SDK function ShellExecuteEx. Since this program runs on server, it is not monitored by any user and it runs as SYSTEM user. During testing of this program on my machine, I ran this program as myself. There ware no issues. Then I moved this program to server for final testing. This server had fresh installation microsoft office. When I tested this program on server (running as SYSTEM account), I found that it hangs Word, but PowerPoint prints correctly. When I copy word file to the watch directory, I can see WINWORD.exe starts as SYSTEM account, but I don't see that document queuing for the PostScript printer. But when I copy PowerPoint file in the watch directory, it gets queued and converted to PostScript file correctly. I am guessing that becuase it's fresh installation of Microsoft Office, it's waiting for user confirmation for some onetime Word setup (may be asking for username and user initials??). But I can't be sure. Since this server is not going to be monitored actively any user, there won't be anybody to accept or close those dialog boxes. Further since this program runs as SYSTEM account, I am not sure if anybody will have any access to the processes. Many office applications prompts user to save file, if the file was created in earlier version. Is there anyway to disable any startup or exit confirmation dialog boxes for office applications?     - SKU011.CAB My excel stopped working about a week ago. I have no idea why as all other office 2003 products work- no problem with powerpoint, word or outlook which I use regularly. I am so glad this is not my only computer or I would be in trouble. How can this be fixed?     - Problem with mail merge: formatting of address block/greeting line I've been using mail merge for a while to send a form letter to a list of different recipients. For some reason, now when I try to insert the address block and greeting line it doesn't show up with the right formatting. For example, I want the greeting line to say "Dear Mr. Smith", and I select that from the choices it gives you, but then it just inserts the person's full name so: "Dear John Smith".     - MS Powerpoint 2007 - Multple windows I would like to know if it is possible to run two copies of Powerpoint so both presentations can be seen at the same time as in a comparison.     - Setting up some kind of shared diary/calendar Hello! I have been asked to set up a shared diary for everyone at work, in which to place meetings so as to coordinate attendances from outside the company, so that the same person isn't needing to come in on two separate occasions.     - How do I update my free website? Not sure if I'm in the right area so please provide a link if I'm off base. I just discovered that I partially completed my free website so I did a pretty good job of updating it and want it to go live. But when I type the info in that got me to the unfinished live site, the old info is still there. The site appears updated on the "work page" when I ask to view it but it doesn't appear to be going out to the web. Is there a waiting period before it actually updates?     - Outlook 2003 new messages always open in max size window I'm running Office 2003 Professional, Small Business Edition 2006. In the Outlook 2003 version within this suite, whenever I click "new" message, the blank message opens full-screen. When I click the button for "normal size" window, and manually resize the window to a smaller size, it will remember the size for the rest of the session. However, when I close Outlook 2003 and go back in, if I open a "new" message, or on in my inbox, they are opened in full screen mode again. This is extremely irritating.     - Can no longer open Microsoft Office Document Image Writer files Hello, I didn't see this anywhere here, so I'm posting........... I was using Windows Live One care trial for the past week. Two days ag when I turned on my computer (Windows XP, sp2) the .mdi files would no open. I print documents frequently with the Microsoft Office Documen Image Writer to my desktop, document files, etc. These files won't ope anymore. The Microsoft Office Document Image Writer is still listed i the printers/fax folder, so I'm not sure what has happened.     - Unsupported Language error when installing Office Enterprise 2007 I purchased Office Enterprise 2007 thru the Microsoft Home Use Program. I'm running Windows XP SP2, and have Office Pro 2003 installed. Upon inserting the DVD, I get a setup error message 'The language of this installation package is not supported by your system'.     - Warning about purchasing Office from Microsoft site I just completed a purchase from the microsoft website and was sent to another company. The other company is Digital River. Currently I would warn against doing any business with them and until microsoft changes their vendor about doing business with them. The reason why? I bought the product (Microsoft Office) online to save time as it should be easier to just download it and get the CD in the mail at a later date. I was not sent an e-mail confirmation of the purchase, or where to go to download my paid for copy, or an activation code. After the 3x forwarding of my call to microsoft (only about 25 mins so really not bad) I ended up speaking with Digital River whose only solution was to refund my credit card charge only after they recieved the money in their account or for me to wait and maybe eventually it will work itself out. So basically shop at your own risk. i would STRONGLY recommend if you have to shop online go to a actual retailer like amazon or best buy etc... as this company really doesn't care about you as a customer.     - MS Word 7, graph on all pages A while ago, when I was designing a document I put a graph on the page, so I could easily position photos. I saved it as a separate document and quit Word. Now whenever I open up word, that darned graph is on every blank page. It doesn't show up in the Print Preview...but it bothers me to write a letter having that graph there.     - Uninstall 60 day Trial Version of 2007 from start-up & PC Hi, My daughter purchased a lap-top with the 60 day Trail Activation of Office Suites I have purchased the cd from retail and installed it on her PC and activated it by telephone. As the laptop is new it's not all set up yet. I unhooked my desk-top & plugged the laptop in to check if everything set up ok. But the trial version Key Activation keeps popping up wanting to activate the Trial Version. I assumed that my installation of the retail version would just overide and remove. When I check uninstall or change programs... I see my installed version Office Home & Student as loaded today. But I also see Activation for MS Trial as well as Microsoft suites. I don't want to go and uninstall the MS Suites if somehow what I loaded to day merged with that one. Is that possible?     - Cannot repair damaged files Im using Office 2007 with Windows XP & Windows Live One I apparently am missing an important file. I can't repair it the way I would normally.     - Install Office 2007 on the Windows 2003 Terminal Server I've installed Office 2007 and all the users are getting the following error: Title: Microsoft Office Word 12.0 Error Msg: An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning properly. Please run Setup and select "Repair..." to restore this application. I've ran the repair software and reboot the machine, and still got this same error message. Then I tried to uninstall the Office 2007, and that didn't work, so I followed the manual instructions to remove office 2007 and then tried the Install a fresh copy of Office 2007, and the above message still comes up. I've searched around and have not found a solution to the problem. I was hoping that it would be a permission issues, but I've allowed modify access the Office folder under Program Files Folder.     - Both Word and Outlook "shut down" error I really need some help. A couple of weeks ago I downloaded an update for Adobe (which I have since removed). Since that time my 2003 Word and Outlook "shut down" while I'm using them. The error message I get says "Microsoft Office Word has encountered a problem and needs to close.     - Office 2003 Small Business on a new computer I got a new computer and installed Office 2003 small business on Vista Home Premium. I'm have 2 problems: Even though I re-registered the software, I get the license acceptance screen every time I go into an office application.     - Copying graphics from PPT to Word I have lots of graphics created in PPT. The are usually a grouped collection of pictures, text boxes, and shapes.     - Access 2003 TransferSpreadsheet issue I am using TransferSpreadsheet in Access to create a spreadsheet for a Windows Mobile device. If I send the spreadhseet directly to the device with ActiveSync, it will not open on the PDA. It gives an 'invalid format' or 'file may be corrupted' message. If I open the spreadhseet with Excel and save it first, then move it to the PDA with ActiveSync, it works fine. You will need to purchase a regular retail suite, not necessarily the one
that comes on the computer. An upgrade will not work.

I suggest looking at amazon.com for purchase prior to the expiration of the
trial. Free shipping and very good prices.
