Hidden Codes when I hit 'Reply' on my Office 2003

When i hit reply I get what look like the letter P backwards on every line. I
also get a dot between all my words....it never happened before. What can I
do?

In Word versions prior to 2007 click the "backwards P" (¶) on the toolbar
at the top of the screen. In Word 2007 do the same thing but click the Home
tab first.

I am using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, and I could not find the button you
were talking about. Do I have to open up a word document, or is it in my
Office Outlook?

Sorry, I am not very good at this stuff...thanks for taking the time...I
just need a little more help.
