    - Text flow Is there a way of linking text boxes in Powerpoint? Is there a way of filling a complex shape with text? Hand adjusting spacings and moving words between boxes gets to be a time-consuming pain. What I really want to do is to float an image in the middle of a block of text and get the text to flow past the image (like I can using HTML).     - Office installer starts when I right click on desktop folder I am running Vista Home Premium on a Toshiba Satellite A205. I installed Office 2007 from a disc for which my company has purchased several licenses. The installer ran for several minutes upon opening every application - I could find no fix that worked, so I uninstalled, cleared the registry, defraged, etc, then installed again. I thought all was well until I discovered that when I right click a folder on my desktop, I get the dreaded "please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007". It eventually goes away and the right click menu appears. But also I notice the Office is not listed in the Set Default Programs list - I have to start the application and open the file rather than open it automatically in the correct office application. I hope someone can help. I sent the Office installation disc back to our home office in another city, so do not have it to re-install again. Thanks in advance for any advice.     - Wheel mouse optical won't scroll in address book I have Office XP Professional installed in a WinXP Pro environment. My wheel mouse won't scroll in the address book/contact list. It will scroll OK in the folders and messages within the folders. I also have Office 2007 Pro installed on another hard drive running Vista Ultimate and don't have the problem.     - Default Word Processor I am using Office 2007 but I also have Word Perfect 11 installed. When I click on a .doc file which should open in MS Word, it instead opens up in Word Perfect. The only way I can get it to open up in MS Word is to right-click and then select "Open With" and then choose MS Word. Is there a way to stop Word Perfect from opening up a .doc file?     - Need to reinstall MS Office 2007 Pro on a new pc My PC bit the dust on me today, unfortunately. I had MS Office 07 Pro on the machine, which I purchased through the site about 1 year ago. Having purchased it through the site, I downloaded the program onto my machine. I will be purchasing a new PC later today (no time to waste) and was wondering if I will be able to install my MS Office onto the new machine without an actual disc of the software.     - Entourage Shortcut Key - "Delete Message" Does anyone know if it is possible to change the shortcut keys in Entourage? Right now *Command+Delete* is set to delete a message rather than delete a single character on the screen.     - Visual Studio 2008 Debugging Error Message I have an old version of Microsoft Word (2000) running on Windows XP SP3 with the full Expression Studio 2 installed. It has been running fine, or at least until recently. Sometimes, a screen pops up that says "an unhandled Win32 exception occured in WINWORD.EXE [3052]. Possible debuggers: "New Instance of Visual Studio 2008" Then there are a couple of options for the default choice. I've not begun computer programming yet, so I have no idea what it means. It asks me "do you want to debug using the selected debugger?" If I click "yes" then it opens VS2008 and attempts to debugg (which seems to be doing nothing). Meanwhile, MS Word isn't responding.     - Office 2007 and taskbar "Group Close" function grayed out When Group similar taskbar buttoms is enabled, the "Close Group" (actually all right click actions on the group) are grayed out. This used to work in Office 2003. I've tried setting and unsetting the Show all windows in the Taskbar option but neither have the same behavior as Office 2003. This is running on Windows XP SP2.     - error message 0x800CCCOF I'm using MSOutlook 2003; everytime I hit the "send/receive" button, I receive emails but none are sent due to this error message "0x800CCOF". I called my ISP (comcast) and they said it's a problem with software. I've dissabled virus scanning of emails and still get the message. I'm running Vista home basic and haven't had this problem in the past; even with the current virus settings. I've downloaded the latest updates from microsoft to no avail. I still get this error message. I've seen what appears to be 3rd party software fixes and wonder if I should go in that direction. Any advice would be appreciated.     - Miccrosoft Office Document Scanning I have a scanner set up on a network (192.168.7.201) that 5 out of 8 employees can scan to without issue. Just recently the other 3 are no longer able to scan documents to the scanner. Scanner is a Cannon IR3570 with print/copy capabilities. The 3 can print to it, they just can't use Microsoft Office Document Scanning. Scangear detects the scanner, and adds it, but the scanner is not 'seen' by the Microsoft Office Document Scanning program (part of office 2003). We've uninstalled/reinstalled ScanGear and MS Office with no joy in addition to installing/removing drivers we dl'd from Canon's website. We even tried copying over the 11.0 folder (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MODI) on a working computer that can scan, and copied it to a nonfunctional one with no success. We're running a variation of SP3 and SP2 on the working and non-working pc's so it's not an SP issue. We tried fully updating one non-functioning pc with every possible update from MS with no luck. I'm with everyone else. I don't feel I should have to check and fix drive mappings each time. If the destination cannot be found in the Office Common Dialog box it should skip to the next connection within seconds, not wait ad-infinitum for a result.     - Double-clicking document icon opens application, but not document When I double-click an Office 2007 document, all that opens is the application, but no document, which I then have to open from within the application.     - Can a U.S. user purchase a Spanish version of Office? Is there any way for a user in the United States to purchase a Spanish version of Microsoft Office 2007 (any flavor)? I have a friend - a legal immigrant from South America - who needs to purchase a new laptop (her current unit is an ancient Dell that she brought with her) but is balking because she would prefer that most of what she uses to be in Spanish, despite the fact that her proficiency in English is excellent. I know that Vista Ultimate can be changed from English to Spanish, so that's one hurdle passed. The next is Office 2007. Short of having a South American relative purchase a copy to send to her (and I question the legality of that anyway), is there any way she can obtain a Spanish version Office 2007 in in the U.S.?
