    - Bubble Charts in PowerPoint 2007 I am trying to create a bubble chart design template that I can apply to multple slides. I am able to get this concept to work with bar charts, etc, but am having trouble with the bubble charts. I can create and save the templates fine. I will then add a new slide and apply the design template. Once I try to import new data from an exsiting excel spreadsheet (it is already in the correct format). Nothing appears on my chart area. I have checked and the scales are not changing. I can copy and paste the same data into a bubble chart when I create a new chart without applying a template and there are no problems.     - unable to connect to server... error 0x800ccc0e Running XP pro, SP2 with all updates. Office 2000 with all office updates applied. I have 7 mail accounts setup, all sending and receiving, POP3..some ports configured outside the default values as outliend by the respective ISP's, and server tineouts set to 2 minutes. Each day, one of the 7 mail accounts will stop sending/receveing with the popup dialog error of "unable to connect to server... error 0x800ccc0e". The fix is to delete the mail account and re-add. I have run the Norton removal utility to remove all prior Norton/Symantec products version. There is no anti-virus running currently. I have un-installed and re-installed Office 2000 but same condition exists. There is no one specific mail account that has a problem it seems to randomly pick one of the 7 each day. Help?????????     - How to permanently remove toolbars in Outlook 2007? or at least Lock them? Everytime I click Mail, Calendar, or Contacts in Outlook I get a new standard toolbar. I end up with about 15-20 before I know it! I can right click and turn them off but they keep coming back. I can't figure out how to lock toolbar or delete all of them. I reinstalled Outlook and it didn't help. Even when they are turned off I still have hundreds of instances of the standard toolbar to select on or off in the customize toolbar menu. I can see where the delete button is but it is grayed out. Anyone know of a reg key or file I can manipulate? Or at least a hack to lock toolbar in Outlook 2007 so they don't turn keeping coming up? I've got a 'free' version of Office 2007 from the Vista/Office 2007 rollout event (I received a valid Product Key from MS at the event), and it's time to get a new computer (I've been spending 25% of my time just trying to keep this one working!). I guess that this isn't technically a 'Retail' version as I didn't purchase it, but it's not OEM either as it wasn't on the machine when I bought it.     - Equations in Office 2007 cause errors Hello, I'm using equations in MS Office Word 2007 often. But many themes, usually as I use more in one document, Office seems to be unable to save my documents. How to reproduce: - Create a new document and save it. - Insert a few equations (formulas). - Try to save the document. - Office prompts to choose a filename (Weird because it's already saved). - OK, you pick a filename and then you get the errro: A file error has occured. Iâ??m writing this technical support request because one of my customers has a very very strange problem with Microsoft Word upon saving. Hereâ??s the configuration of the PC: - Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2, with all the latest updates installed; - Microsoft Office 2003 SP3 Professional Edition; - NOD32 Antivirus System; - Spybot Search and Destroy; - Autocad 2007; - PDF Creator; - Some DWG Viewers; - IBM Client Access for AS/400 My user works with some Word documents, of about 20 Megs-size, with some pics included. I searched over various forums in Internet, and I found that Word allows a maximum of 32 Megs-per-file size, wich is referred to text only. So, my user should not oversize this limit with her documents. These documents are all written in different languages, the user is Italian and the docs are one in Spanish, one in Deutch, one in Portoguese and so on. The problem is described as follows: - the user opens the document, works in it in editing mode normally - then she updates the summary which is placed at the top of the document, selecting-it all and the choosing â??update fieldâ?? - since this step no errors occurs; - when saving, totally randomly, word says that is not possible to save the document because it is in read-only mode, and the user is prompted to save with another file name. This is a very strange error. I tried everything: - installed Office 2007 with the latest Service Pack 1, same result; - disabled and uninstalled the Antivirus system, same result; - copied the files locally, checked the file permissions, everythingâ??s right but the problem persists; - searched the web for any possible solutionâ?¦ I tried everything I caught but the problem persists. After all these steps I prepared a new computer, and the problem remains also with the new PC. So I got no idea about the way to solve the problem. Is there any fix? Any procedure to be followed? My daughter attended Indiana University and purchased Office XP and installed it on our home computer. Now I am trying to enable Chinese in Word.     - Toolbars in Office 2007 Has anyone come up with an add-in that will give us back the ability to create custom "toolbars" (I guess they are called ribbon groups now) without having to learn XML? Point-and-click, drag-and-drop functinality would be nice. Loss of this cabability represents a serious loss in productivity.     - Office Pro 2007 problems I am running a Dell E520, and had Office 2007 installed, but was having problems. I bought the upgrade for Office Pro 2007 at Staples yeterday, oput in the CD, it asked for the new product number, then did its thing, but did not install. It apparently just read my CD to see I had the Office components installed, and then completed its thing. It did not install the Accounting Express which comes with the Update, and it did not write over the old components, did not chnage the product number, adn I still have the same problems.     - Outlook Send & recieve I am runing Office 2007 on Vista Home No major problems other than the update issues which I am working through. However, the outlook program has suddenly thrown a spanner as when I slect the Send & recive button the system goes into over drive looking for increasing task's to be completed! What I mean by that is the progress window appears and the progress bar moves across the line as expected but the number of tasks just keep increasing. I only have 5 accounts to check but have seen the system checking 1500+ As the Cancel All is not functioning at this point the only way I have been able to stop this continuios operation is to use the task manager which identifies the package is not responding and closes down but then reopens it with no error reports. I am now no longer able to use this package any longer so am keen to resolve. The problem appeard to start only after I strted the power point program from what I can recall although this may be nothing to do with it. I have updated Vista with SP1.     - Excel 2003 SP3 security encryption bug when running in Vista versus I found what seems to be a bug with Excel's encryption, when running the same version of Excel, Excel 2003, SP3, under Vista versus XP. As you may know, you can encrypt an Excel file by clicking, under "Save As", then "Tools", "General Options", "Save Options" where for "Advanced" under the Password window, you can click on a dropdown list, that includes "Weak Encryption", "office 97/2000 compatible" (which is what I was using, before I switched), "RC4", then "RC4, MS Strong Crypto Provider". I saved an Excel .xls spreadsheet using the last encryption option above, when running Excel 2003, SP3, under Vista, namely "RC4, MS Strong Crypto Provider". This was a big mistake. Then I tried to open this same spreadsheet, with the same program, same password, using XP. But XP gave this error message: "Excel cannot open this file. The encryption file used is not available, contact the author of the file. More encryption types are available using the High Encryption Pack." First, I could not find the 'official' Microsoft "High Encryption Pack" (I did find some third party stuff). A search on the web showed that for Word2003, this is a encryption bug as acknowledged by Microsoft. The only 'workaround' is for the sender to resend the encrypted file under a different encryption. But what is annoying is that I am the sender, and it's the same file, same password, just being saved and opened under two different operating systems (Vista and XP Professional, respectively). Compounding the problem for me is that the two machines are presently far apart from one another, and I would like to open this encrypted file but cannot, even though I know the password. Another terrible bug by MSFT--anybody have a solution? Other than adopting Linux? I could buy one of those Excel password cracker programs, but they say that if you set the password at the higest level (presumeably RC4 or above) then these programs don't work very fast.     - Protected Forms-Wizard Word2003. I create std forms at work using template, fields, DD and all. Forms are "filling form" protected for users. I need to create an "amended contract" template. If clause "1. aaa" was part of the original contract, only then would clause "3. bbb" be added to the amended contract. Automatic article numbering must still work. User would need to be asked if clause "1.aaa" was part of original contract or not. Or, if contract is signed in Quebec, clause "Z" must be added; if contract is signed in any other province, then clause "Z" does not apply. I know I can use "Help F1" in fields, put the paragraph in the field and instruct the user to remove the field if clause "1.aaa" is not in the original contract. However, there must be a more professional and user-friendly way to proceed. Final form would still need to be "filling form" protected b/c user would still have to select info from DD menus or input info in "text form fields" at any given place in the document.
