Hello, I have a strange issue when moving the server from a domain to
a workgroup.
What I am planning to do is to p2v production a current fileserver to
an esx server.
This goed well and have an exact copy of the fileserver virtually, but
before to connect the server
to the network and restore a backup of the data I first change the ip
address, hostname and move it
to a workgroup (while p2v I kept the SID). As soon I reboot the shares
are gone.
I can still see the shares in the registry (HKLM->SYSTEM->CCS-
>Services->Lanmanserver)
What could be the cause for this?
What I eventually want to do is to migrate the physical fileserver to
a virtual one and migrate the data
via BU restore.
